I like the first rug or the third rug... they seem to have more of the "light and airy" feel you are going for. The other 2 seem rather contemporary to me, unless that is your style.

LOVE the blue disc on the chest...that is one of my favorite colors!

They all look very nice so it's just personal preference. Overall, I like #2, probably because I like the colors and it seems warmer and more anchored. For light and airy, I prefer the first one.

I LOVE the first rug (in fact, would you mind sharing where you found it???) .. second choice is the third rug. Of course they all look nice so it is a matter of what matches your style best.

I like the door color in the second picture.

I am not a fan of the chest-- but I think a hickory would look great there. It will add some visual interest while allowing you to keep the look clean/uncluttered.

My style leans almost toward Asian except I don't like bamboo or ginkgo leaves. I like the simplicity of Asian decor. That said, I also like classics and some of the more traditional rugs introduce beautiful color and texture without looking trendy. So I'm drawn in that direction, too.

Here's the rug most people seem to like with the door "greened up" a little bit.

Maybe I'm trying too hard with the door and it will be distracting?

Based on how you described your style, I think rug 3 would be great! I'd do the door in more of a gray blue with less of the green(like the rug).

Yayagal, that rug is beautiful and a fabulous price! The problem is they don't have the size I need. :( I think I need a 4x6 size but I need to measure to be sure.

kmcg85, I can't believe I forgot to visit PB! I love those rugs! I'm especially excited to try to Marin one because it has touches of that steel blue I'd love to have.

On a related note, can someone explain to me why PB has these gorgeous colored rugs but no pillows with coordinating colors? Their pillows are totally obnoxious at the moment.

I'll try to find time to photo shop these new selections in and see what we think.

I did a search for "porcelain blue" at PB and this is what came up. For pillows there is a chunky linen in porcelain B.

Here are the two PB rugs I liked (the other was probably more green than I want.) It was a little tricky getting them to look right because I didn't have full pics of them. Thoughts?

I'm still thinking about the door color. Part of me likes the quiet simplicity of the neutral door and the other part likes the splash of color. I'm scared of color, so there is that. I tend to like tone-on-tone types of things, so maybe I just have the rug stand on it's own an not try to compete with the door. I don't know... I took the weird corner plant out too. It was bugging me. :)

Well, I like the first PB you have there! That's the one I want in my bedroom!
