Oh, Lynn, I forgot to answer you. I have Whippets. 7 of them. They look same as greyhounds basically, just half the size. I've been showing them for over 35 yrs. There's a link to an album of my dogs and cats on my front page at Photobucket. I haven't been able to show the last two years, so may have been forced into retiring thanks to the Fibromyalgia. But all the Whippets are spoiled rotten pets any way. LOL. And I have a huge collection of statues, over 300 in all. I've been collecting them for 30 yrs. Melvalena (what a PRETTY name!), can you drape some Fall garland around your cabinet? I have a small bowl with little faux pumpkins and gourds on back of my toilet, and two little orange candles. It just adds some color there. Betty, the ting ting comes in a cellophane bundle at Michaels, and sometimes Dollar Tree has it I think. It just adds a little extra to any floral arrangement. At Xmas you can find it in gold or silver and sparkly. hugs, Karen

Kathleen, Could you package some of your energy and mail it to me? Your goodies look delicious. What a lucky friend you have and such a labor of love. I just know your friend will be over the moon when she sees the cake. I am heading to CF right now for the apple pie recipe. I love to cook and that forum lead me to this one. Baking might must keep me busy enough so tht I am not looking for and purchasing more dishes. LOL DH is going to scream if anymore dishes enter our home. He's already worried the cabinet in my office is going to come off of the wall from the weight:,). Keep posting, you are an inspiration for those of us who like to cook/bake as well as decorate our tables!

Wow, I am very impressed & very envious @ all that you have accomplished! I love the serving tray idea for your Fall village! And always enjoy your bath countertop decor...that mercury glass/arrangement is gorgeous ...& your lil' bunny & pumpkin, too. (& can't forget the BOP pic...love it!) But your fireplace/mantle/hearth is just drop-dead gorgeous, purplemoon! I love how you use your everyday collectibles (dogs & bunny statues/prints) in your decor & are able to catch the spirit of the holiday! Fall has to be one of my faves in your home!! Love all the roosters ... & you tied them into your Fall decor, too...that is a beautiful one on the small counter by the stove! That whole tiled countertop area is certainly something to crow about! And the entryway is so welcoming ...I remember you bringing home that awesome cupboard/drawers/table ... it is a beautiful area...love how you change out the decor! Oh, I'm missing alot to comment on but I'm drooling over the pics ...good for you, woman! You're still ahead of the game! Love it all! Jeanne S. I have the willow friendship girl from friend in Tn. She has flowers in her hands like she is going to give them to me(flowers are wire). They are so sweet.Love all your decor & dishes. I notice something tho, your tray is different than 1 they show in 1985 Hall book by Margaret & Kenn Whitmyer. The tray on page 37 has round handles on end like the 2 side ones on yours but bigger.I like yours much better Since it was only made in 1975-disc. in 76 both kinds would be quite rare I would think. They made so many things in Autumn Leaf, playing cards,bowl covers(shower cap looking)linens, canister sets, flour sifter, thermos( about 1 gal I think with spigot )Metal pieces the finish disappears at sight of water they said.Bread box & cake carriers, cooking pots & even a kitchen chair which is probably worth a fortune now. Jewel Tea came around our neighborhood but never stopped at my house, seemed to have appointments at 2 houses over in cul -de- sac?? I love the Aladdin teapot, it's such a neat shape. i have a 6 in tall water pitcher or maybe coffee pot(no rim indent or anything) got a few months ago for $1. couldn't pass that up! Gold little thin around top of it but in great shape otherwise. Glad you got a cabinet just for your beautiful collection!!
