Fall Dining Room Decor including Dollbaby!
Comments (14)Thanks jane, candy, punk & nana ... I enjoy changing things out ...& it's funny about that squirrel...must be an 'Enabler' thing (punk)in the back of my mind! That squirrel called to me & here you have it, Jane! I know I've seen yours!!! I really bought it cause thought it might be part of an arrangement in that new 18" cloche I showed you all awhile back...but it was too small & the candle ring was too big ...looked all scrunched up! ;-) It is painted gold with maybe antiquing dark brown over it or else it's vice versa w/dry brushing. candy...we have summer weather for this week! Am loving it ...but so do the 'bugs' this time of the yr! ...the little specks we call 'no-see's' were horrible today when DH & I worked ont he porch siding! But love the WEATHER anyway! nana..the Jewel Tea & that corn husk print are things that I do love ...because of family connections, I guess...enjoy adding good memories! I did do some tweaking already...moved flowers/basket & owl to top of old treadle sewing machine in LR & put that brown linen cloth on table w/soap mold candles & those stained glass 3 leaves ...like I did last yr. Thanks all! Jeanne S....See MoreA Re-visit to my Thanksgiving China
Comments (13)Jeanne, beautiful display. I love these dishes! Your matching lamp is a wonderful addition. After reading about the toy truck bank, that's where it belongs for sure. BTW, thanks for sharing that with us. Your window/glass decor w/birds in front is so pretty. I enjoy drinking Hazelnut creamer in my coffee so bet that neat candle smells great. I really like the cocoa fireside fragrance that is out now. We get alot of comments with people walking into our office. I'm hoping to get my rolls and pie crusts made this weekend. Will also be doing the rest of my grocery shopping if I can get out. We are suppose to get a big storm and temperatures of -20 tomorrow night so not looking forward to that. We don't have enough snow cover so Not Good. Punk...See MoreFinally posting some Fall decor
Comments (20)Lynne, Country/Victorian is what I call my decor too. The country part is mostly items I've kept from my more country/primitive past, and the victorian part comes from my love of all things lace, roses, ribbons, pastels, etc. All my furniture is oak which is sort of out of style now--but I still love it and no way I will be replacing a whole housefull of furniture! Magpie, I forgot to comment about you collecting cattails from the drainage ditches. I don't see them out here, but when we travel and I see them, I always want to stop and get some--but I'm afraid of two things. There might be a snake just hiding in that ditch or I might slip and fall in! LOL Lynn, I love our cardinal on the acorn. I think I will spray some clear gloss sealer on mine to make him look more ceramic. Karen, didn't you say you did that with yours? OA, that's my favorite pumpkin. The leaf has sort of a metalic looking glaze on it. Did you recognize the acorn guy in the gold cloche? He came from one of our craft shows too. Glad you "enabled" me to get the new little squirrel with the acorn candle holder even though he was that resin instead of ceramic--he's cute! Luvs...See MoreWhen do you start decorating for fall?
Comments (51)As soon as I finish mopping my dining room I plan to get out my fall things. It is hot here so I have to just imagine fall for a while. My dining room is a light blue/grey/green so orange doesn't work. I have a large white pumpkin and other neutral things. I really only decorate my table plus a few random things - wood and wrought iron, pansies outside in purple and yellow. I used to have a lot of piano students who didn't believe in Halloween, so that kind of took the fun out for me. I secretly start Christmas decorating before Thanksgiving then turn the lights on that night!!! I will probably go to my son's house for Christmas this year, so I need to enjoy my Christmas stuff early!...See MoreRelated Professionals
