Sue our kitchen coffee area is actually inside a regular kitchen cabinet. The cabinets on one wall all start at counter height and two of the three have outlets for plugging in small appliances. A Ninja, coffee grinder and coffee maker are in the cabinet nearest to the sink for easier access to water. Don't worry we don't use all of them at once.
As you can see it's nothing fancy. I want to line the cabinets with beadboard wallpaper, but have too many other things with a higher priority at the moment.

Coffee and tea. My sink is directly a across on the island.

I got canisters and coffee sign at home goods.

Here is our corner. Now it also shares space with the KA mixer.

Sueb20 - try posting in the kitchen forum. I know many have them. It's something I still think about and may eventually add, so I look forward to see more answers.

Well I basically just cleaned my space up a bit. Coffee is in the basket. Moved the coffee maker so I can actually see the nice tile. This may be the best I can do for now! All mugs are in the cabinet above.

The coffee station is on the far left. From left to right, we have napkins, sugar, hot shot and coffee pot. It's not far from the sink for getting water and the tea bags and coffee filters and mugs are stored above. Of course, milk and coffee are stored in the fridge, so that is a bit away. But the rest is very convenient. To the left is the breakfast nook, so it's also convenient to refill coffee when sitting around the table.

Here's ours. It's pretty basic. Sink is to the left. Canisters have coffee beans and sugar. Drawer has utensils and coffee filters.

If you want pretty and organized, use a tray. The prettiest coffee station I've seen had the Mr. Coffee style coffee maker on a mirrored tray along with little teacups of sugar packets. I've been searching for just the right tray to do this in my kitchen.

I finally relented and bought a Keurig. DH drinks coffee all day and now my precious coffee beans don't go to waste.

My station is right next to the refrigerator and I have drawers that house all my coffee accessories.

Here's ours. It's very basic. Additional cups, filters, bean grinder, etc., are in the cabinet above. Creamer and sugar are in the little containers on the right. The cut glass tray they are sitting on belonged to my grandmother and has a picture of the Lord's Supper etched on it.

I am going to paint a sign for a teeny little easel I have which will say, "Stop whining. This ain't Starbuck's." It will go where the cups are now, and the cups will go back in the cabinet.

My 'coffee station' is not photo worthy as is only a coffee machine on the counter next to the stove. Everything is in the cupboard except coffee beans in the freezer and grinder in a nearby lower cupboard.

Here's a pic I had saved which could be a good way to display decorative mugs.

Luckygal, I actually have that shelf unit! I have two, in fact! From Pottery Barn. But they're at our beach cottage, and unfortunately I don't have a big enough wall anywhere near my coffee maker for it. That is a really cute setup.

This is what I'm talking about. But you can find larger trays to set the coffee pot on. Silver trays go well with all decor as you can see in this picture, and it keeps the coffee station organized, which is important to me.

Can you hang a rectangle coffee mug rack behind the station for your mugs? It will look less cluttered.

Not sure what you mean by a rectangle coffee mug rack. Can you link to a photo of what you mean? Also, less cluttered than what? I don't have any mugs in sight in my coffee area....

I'd like to find a tray of some sort that would hold my whole shebang, but haven't found the right one. Silver doesn't work for me.

A peg rack. Long and narrow with pegs to hold your mugs to keep them on display. You said you wanted to display your mugs and having them hang under a cabinet instead of sitting on top of the counter will keep the area from being cluttered.

You don't *have* to use a silver tray, I was just giving you an example how pretty a tray can be for your coffee station.

No pic, but mine is on the counter just to the right of the fridge. I use the filtered water from the water dispenser for the coffee maker and the cream, etc is handy. Cups and tea/coffe are stored in the cabinet above. That counter is out of the main work zone.

Hi Sue, this is my first posting so forgive if its wonky. Here's my coffee center. The splenda packets are in the canister on the counter. The cabinet holds all the mugs, the filters in the wooden box, and the coffee in the white canister with the wooden lid. Its very convenient, next to the sink.
If you want to display your mugs, perhaps you could add glass to your cabinet door? Anything you normally keep in there that you don't want on display you could put in a basket. I will post a pic of that. Or you could display them on the counter (not ideal I know) in a cool rack. I will post a pic of what I mean.

Sue, here's the mug rack I meant. I have seen MUCH smaller ones that would fit under your cabinet and not have such a big footprint. But it would still be on the countertop, which might not work for you.

Here's a pic of another one. Not mine, but I was inspired by it. You can see the coffee and sugar canisters, and all the mugs, but the baskets above can hide anything thats not so pretty.

Hi again Sue, oops, I see that you already have glass cabinet doors. I didn't notice that at first!

Nothing fancy here, but handy with the fridge to the left, and a small sink to the right. Cups and supplies in the drawers beneath. This area is not in the "working" area of the kitchen.

These have been fun to see.

You know how you get all fired up about an idea or project and then you get so busy that you just don't care anymore? Yeah. That's me and the coffee station. I did put my Keurig pods in a nice basket, though. I wish I had room for a shallow little coffee-cup shelf under the upper cabinet, but then I wouldn't be able to open the top of the Keurig. And, I'm pretty sure DH would freak if I suggested mounting a shelf on the tile backsplash.

Still mad that I don't have the space right there for the cubby unit that lucky gal posted.

my house has a fairly large kitchen and a big island, but not much counter space. I wasted 6 ft of space on a desk that is now a dinosaur. If I was staying in this house I would rip it out and make it a coffee/beverage center.

Here's mine! Love my Keurig and pod basket. My station is convenient to everything.

It's is mine. Husband's drip coffee maker is by the sink. We don't like the same kind of coffee!

I have the same kind of useless desk. I was just wondering if I can convert it to the coffee station. In the past when entertaining, I have set it up there. I'm home tomorrow and might mess around with it.

It's funny that you and your husband have different coffee makers. My daughter and her husband do too! We make fun of them all the time. It's really a stubborn thing on the husbands side.

They had a drip, but it made a whole pot that they didn't need it. My daughter is a teacher and just wanted to make a quick cup on her way out of the house in the morning. She wanted a Keurig like her mothers. :) Her husband said it was a waste of money and they didn't need another. She bought one anyway - with her money. He said he didn't like the taste and would continue to use HIS drip model.

One day my daughter tricked her husband and made a whole pot of coffee, but served him hers from the Keurig. He never suspected. But now that the cat is out of the bag, he is even more determined to use his machine. Good thing they have a large kitchen with loads of counter space.

@newhomebuilder - okay, so we're not that bad. I prefer espresso and he prefers drip. Funny, cuz he's the Italian!

Way late to this thread but here's my coffe station. You guys are gonna laugh but you'll notice-- no coffee pot. Just a kettle and a drip cone. Makes the BEST coffee and never tastes like the pot
