I liked "Domino."

Hands down, it would have to be Phoenix Home & Garden, although some homes have far too much bling and/or high end accessories for my taste. I imagine that 99% of you have never seen a copy of this great mag, though, as it seems to be a very regional publication (AZ, NM, CA, TX,NV,UT). It's a gorgeous mag!

I still miss the OLD Victoria magazine's style (and have a complete collection) BUT I do subscribe to the new Victoria ....

I do subscribe to Traditional Home, Veranda, House Beautiful, Country Living .... but I am not as keen on their style as I used to be ....

I do love some of the British decor magazines -- and read those at the bookstore whenever I can ....

American Bungalow

Another American Bungalow here. Although I don't live in an old bungalow anymore, I hope our new home reflects that style in some way.

Domino, Sunset & HB. I loved (and how) the essays in H&G, but I can't say its aesthetic was mine ....

Oh, totally Southern Accents all the way!! In fact the slipcovers for my dining room chair seats were completely inspired by an old SA cover. Gah...I miss that mag. Southern Living doesn't have enough interiors, plus the homes they do show, while lovely, don't make me swoon like SA did.

House Beautiful is my favorite. Has been for a while. However, the last few issues haven't been as good for me. Maybe changes due to new editor? I just haven't liked as many houses in the last few issues as I usually do.

After HB, favs are Traditional Home and Design NJ (a local NJ design mag that shows local houses; while I don't always like the houses portrayed, it's fun to see local houses; my lawyer's home was featured a while back!).

For some reason, AARP keeps trying to send me their info and getting me to join. I have no idea why they would be sending that to a 29 year old (wink, wink) :-)

I would say probably the old Cottage Living or Romantic Country Homes or Country Living crossed with Traditional Home or something along those lines. I am somewhat country/cottage mixed with traditional. Not TOO country and I'm slowly incorporating more cottage into our home.

I was thrilled to see the mags I can get through my Nook. LOL

Remember - this isn't your favorite magazine or zine's - it's the one (or few combined) that you feel captures your style.

For instance, if a magazine scout showed up on your doorstep saying that they'd heard about your home and thought that it would be a perfect fit for their look and would like to feature it, what magazine or magazine combo would be knocking on your door?

This can be your current home style or the look that you are working to acheive.

Since Country Living and House Beautiful is a mix that I think reflects my combined styles, maybe 'Country Beautiful' would want to feature my home in their 1st ever issue :)

I'd say a mix for me...Pottery Barn catalogue and Coastal Living for decor in Family Room and Living Room & Dining area with a mix of House Beautiful,Traditional Home and Domino thrown in for the rest.
So...can I sound anymore confused than that, lol??

Love all of those mags+ BHG special publications such as Renovation Style and Remodelling. Live here in Canada, so I love our Canadian House & Home and Style at Home too. (Bit of a decor mag junkie!)

Cottage Style, a magazine that I believe no longer exists.

HB is the only one I subscribe to, even if my house can never look like that, when I look through it, it encourages me to do a good cleaning, so its worth the price just for that.

These best represent my taste, not necessarily my style: Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and Veranda with, on occasion, a soupcon of Traditional Home thrown in.

I love Coastal Living...although I'll never live up to it :-o

I'm definitely a magazine (junkie) aficianado but trying to reform!

"Style at Home" probably captures the style of the public areas of my home best because they sometimes feature thrifty/crafty/pre-owned/traditional/global/eclectic decor.

"Country Living" captures the style of my bedroom and one of the guest rooms because they are cottage/casual style.

Mostly I look at magazines online and some that have pics that inspire are:

"House & Home"

"House Beautiful"

"Traditional Home"

"Period Living"

"Ideal Home" and it's sister mags "Country Homes & Interiors" and "25 Beautiful Homes"

"Lonny Mag" - there are 2 online mags here, TradHome and Lonny.

"House of Fifty"

I'm not, at the moment, taking any subscriptions altho occasionally buy Country Living, Style at Home, Victoria. I'd hate to see the demise of any more magazines altho I buy fewer since there are so many good ones online.

Oh! Just to state that my house will NEVER EVER look like those magazines I mentioned -- but that the style of the houses that are featured in them do inspire me .... or depress me .... just depends on my mood .... and whether or not chocolate is available at the time ..... :)

I would say Parents magazine. Not what I aspire to, but things seem to be out of control lately with toys and "stuff" everywhere.

Is there a toddler chaos or cats chaotic magazine? Could be one of those two. gates, child locks, etc really don't go with my vision of decor, so I feel like it is on hold awhile. :)

Dang you guys!! This could have been a really interesting post if you had followed ttodd's directions: We would have really learned something about our styles, vs. what we like to look at. I wish we could have a do-over. Ttodd, you up for it? Maybe limit it to only one!
As from me, it's The English Home with a twist of Victoria/Traditional Home. If only one, Id say English Home.

Style 1900 is where I would like to be. Where I actually am is a mix of that and Country Home.

I like to think that DWELL would capture my style - I'd like to like DWELL, but I'm usually disappointed. Unfortunately I don't think that there are any North American magazines that I love OR I feel capture my "style"

Check out Arts & Decoration, I think many of you would love it. It is in French of course, but there is an English summary at the back and besides, it really is about the pictures.

I have several styles blended together. So I'd go with:

The magazines I like to look at are HB and Country Living. The website I like best is Apartment Therapy.

If magazine scouts came to my door having heard about my house, they'd be from Pyschology Today, wanting to do a story on why a person who loves quiet, order, and the beauty of "a place for everything and everything in its place" lives with 4 kids and a zillion pets and then spends hours per day daydreaming about how changing her throw pillows might drastically improve her life.....

A combo of "Colonial Home" which has been out of print for about 10 years and "Martha Stewart Living" from at least 8 years ago.

Closing eyes to ignore mess around me...style is definitely Traditional Home, Veranda. Esp. Veranda because of all the yummy hand-painted decorative accessories. That's the magazine I save and often flip through for inspiration. I also enjoy American Artist.

Boop - I'm feelin' ya! This Sept. I've started moving into the next chapter of having the house to myself for 2hrs a day, 2 days a week. Love my children dearly but my decorating truly came to a standstill for awhile. I used that time to really think and plan instead of rushing 'to do'. This has paid out greatly (or should I say saved money greatly)! My toy starage is getting more creative though and I sort of see a light at the end of the tunnel there. THat and a lot of acceptance about what I can't change.

If I was featured in a mag I think it would be the "White Trash" version of martha... "Living with out her money".but I aspire for House Beautiful.

I have every issue of the late, lamented Cottage Living. I liked it because it was attainable and comfortable without being too country or traditional.

The current house is a strong MCM, so I have shifted to Atomic Ranch, with a touch of Modernism and Elle Decor.

But I used to be American Bungalow, Style 1900 and English Home, so people can always change!

Metropolitan Home was the best. (RIP)

I also like what Margaret Russell is doing with Architectural Digest now.

I used to love Taunton's Inspired House, but it's gone the way of all flesh. IH was more contemporary than HB or ED, and not as modern as Dwell.

Current mags I would say that I like New England Home best, they have a nice mix of homes and the houses they feature aren't as staged looking as HB or ED. I also like Taunton's Houses issue of FH, great ideas and a variety of designs.

Old House Journal style! Ok, ok, how about Country Living and HB, but my house is a style all my own. A magazine called "Cheap and Repurposed" would be just right for me.

I don't know...is there an eclectic magazine for people with expensive taste but for those who do not want to spend all that money? Is there a magazine for people who shop off CL, Habitat re-homing, Tjm@x and garage sales? Lol, I do buy some new stuff but like to think of things to do with what others consider junk. If I don't suffer I feel my room is not creative enough. Maybe I need a magazine for some sort of obsessive disorder.

I've chosen some great paint colors from seeing them in the Pottery Barn catalog. House Beautiful had a cover story recently, I think it was the Color Issue or something similar, and it showed rooms with white walls with different colored pillows and drapes. Disappointing for me.

My favorite was Country Home. I like Country Living, This Old House, and Flea Market Style. I keep hoping they will bring Country Home back!

The English Home, English Garden and Victoria...but I'm probably a bit more cottage style, than those magazines would suggest :)

If we are doing combos allowed, then, I want a smattering of the extinct Cottage Living with a hefty dose of Renovation Style. This months RS the Before & After issue with the brown chairs on the front has the house my house wants to be........but never will.........Joan's house in the article "The Rescuers".

English Home for me. I love the feel and aesthetic of the English countryside. I love the Cotswolds. That is where I belong, and I think my home reflects that.
