Because the rug is one color, I wonder if the pattern in the rug really reads as a pattern, or more as a texture? Is the pattern bigger? That would help too.

Yes, I suppose it does read more as a texture. But it will be very close to the quilt since it's under the bed so...ack, not sure.

I am thinking something like this would work better and I love the colorfulness (that's a word, right?). If you zoom in, do you see a patch of gray like I do? Being literal and anal, I'd like it to have at least a bit of gray...

I love the quilt, but my initial impression that that it would be very "circle/circle". Color wise, great, but if the pattern in the rug was say, a diamond, I'd climb right aboard the train.

I looked at Pine Cone Hill, too but the only gold they had had no grey in them, and their greys were all very neutral patterns.

The circle/circle thing wouldn't bother me so much, so long as there were no other round things in the room...no round mirrors, art, pillows, light fixtures, etc....as one is more texture and one more color.

Mtn, I had been on the Anthro site staring at quilts and couldn't figure out why I hadn't seen the ones you posted...ah, they're duvets. I don't do duvets. I really want a quilt.

CLB, those are a bit too bright and white for me. (I have ivory drapes and bed skirt so anything with white-white isn't going to work for me.)

I am not easy to please. I have duvet issues. Too upsetting to talk about. I just can't get them to look right. Everything bunches up inside and yes, I have used clips and ties and everything else...I just can't do it anymore. Too much stress at bedtime. I am only half kidding.

I love kantha quilts -- I use them on my sofa for the dogs -- but they are really THIN. Like, thinner than my Target quilt. I'm looking for a quilt with a little more weight to it.

Why don't you order a sham from the company store and see how it looks in person? Less shipping than returning the quilt, if you don't like it. I love the colorfulness of that one, too, and it looks very nice with the gray in the floor.

Well, I ordered the Company Store quilt! It was on sale plus I found a coupon code for an additional 20% off, so it was hard to resist and I was worried that if I just ordered a sham to check the colors, I'd go back to order and the quilt would be out of stock!

Sue, I'll step up and say that I'm right there with you on the duvet issues!! Yeah, they look pretty in the website photos, but in real life they always look lumpy and messy. Also don't enjoy changing out a king size one. It is very hard to find good quality quilts with nice colors/designs and a nice weight to them. I returned some from the company store because they were too thin and light.
