What do you think of this funky chair?

Found this on CL. Have not seen it in person but there's something so cool about it. Have no idea where I'd use it, just find it sooo cute.

Any opinions?

Eh, not my style, but, the price is right...if you like it, buy it. It's not like they're asking an outrageous price or anything. Sorry, I'm no help. : D

Olychick, I painted the chair with a mix of fabric medium and regular latex wall paint. I'm not sure the orange goes with the green in person---it doesn't clash, but I may think about changing out the painting and bright pillow.

I went to see the footstool, but it was a total bait and switch!! I called up the seller in the afternoon, she wouldn't make a deal saying how it was in excellent condition and worth over $100 in an antique store. When I go there she shows me three different footstools none of them anything like the above. When I asked where that one was--with the pink background and the queen anne style legs, she said she didn't know what pic was posted in the ad as her son posted it. She tried to sell me her "Chinese style, solid mahogany" footstools, but the workmanship was very amateurish and the embroidery looked like it was pinned on. I'm really PO'ed about it--a big waste of time--but since I was in her house, I just said I'd pass and left. On the positive side, at least it was not eBay "not as advertized" to deal with. Bet they would look just perfect with those eBay Bergere chairs.

I like it (come on what did you expect ME to say, "leave" it ; ) I think it would be perfect for a girls room, how much fun will that be finding a frilly, girly fabric, pink fur is what came to my mind, or something outlandish like that, maybe trimmed out with a pink boa!! wow I am following this thread.. amazing style and feedback (love Paul's chair and the other chair options you guys have proposed). you guys are awesome. I am hoping to get some of your awesome feedback on oh-not-yet-stylish living room redo of mine. alas.. it will never be this stylish - at least not until kids go to college or I find a bigger home (chances of that happening.. well...)

I could see it in a bathroom, if the cushion was recovered with something easy to wipe off, or an entryway.

I think it's GREAT, and like Melly, I'd want to re-do the cover on the seat to blend with my bathroom decor.

I LOVE that chair and would buy it in a heartbeat. Would add great texture to a space--it's almost like sculpture!

As an accent piece, sure. But it looks really uncomfortable to actually sit in.

I'd love it as a dressing table chair.
Polished up, and with a bright, large-scale print cushion, I think it would kick off the morning with just the right wacky girly spirit.

I like it. All the ideas above -- even a closet chair for dressing and putting on shoes if you have the space in a walk-in or beside your closet. Would be really cute in a girl's bedroom, possibly a boy's, a guest room -- anywhere you might want to pull an extra chair up to a table. Would definitely change the fabric for my house, but that looks like it would be easy to do.

I thought it was cute and different. Master is grey/blue, thought it looked pewter grey and with a new seat cushion could look adorable. I was thinking my closet or vanity, or a small desk.

Never got to see it today as the owner said he wasn't available until Wed. Will try to go this week. I figured, for the price, I couldn't lose!
