Dr. Phil is having a show on step-families..

on Wednesday. I just received my weekly update on the show and saw that and thought some of you may like to know. I really love what he has to say about things. I read in the little blurb that there is a stechild that things stepmothers are just evil and there are newlywed ready to divorce over the problems. I'm sure some of you can relate!

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll be tuning in -- I love his show! Can't wait to see what he has to say on this.

I'm kind of disappointed in the show. Not enough time to cover things more in detail. He could easily spend an entire week on this subject -- or an entire season!

I had to be gone when it was on today, taped it, and just now finished watching. Bizarre is a good description. There was a case against the head guy where I used to work. He was so arrogant and cocky about how the case would never be proven...he was innocent, etc. During hearings, he kept saying things like "I'm innocent, give me a lie detector test and I'll prove it". Well lawyers on the other side had had enough of him so finally said 'yes, and if you pass conclusively, my client will drop the case'. Oh, you should have seen him. At first he was all nervous, then he calmed greatly, and agreed. He honestly thought he could con the lie detector AND the administrator of the test. He failed so miserably, it wasn't one bit funny. But to this day, if anyone would question him, he'd say it was rigged so he'd fail. Shirley

They are from Franklinton. Louisiana . Not all that live in this great state is like this. Doctors need to be brought under control with writing out scripts. The word that is being mispelled is cajun. The father husband to Yvonne that was in jail is out and now has the kids. His wife Yvonne is now in jail. Forgered a prrscription. The mother of the twins just as bad and on drugs. The one sister that was getting married hope she cut her ties with the entire family. Only level headed in tne bunch!

Dottie, yes I must admit that I have been watching the "saga" of the "nutty family". But these latest episodes have really got my dander up!! I think this girl (not a mature woman) doesn't deserve to have any of her kids until she starts putting them FIRST, instead of the men (I should say boys) in her life. I couldn't believe that she would not say "Tony will move out until the court case is done." She still doesn't get that those innocent children that she bore should always come first. And she is making Dr. Phil look like a buffoon for trying to help her. I am tired of shouting at my TV when they're on...so I guess I should just watch "Ellen" or continue to create in my quilt room! LOL Susan

I missed the show yesterday. I caught the one on Tues about teens and parents and the one teen had problems with her step father. They worked on repairing that relationship and I think some of what they said would apply and be of help to any stepfamily.

He does often spend a lot of time with one person and then rush the rest. I think most times there is a lot to learn from each guest. There are so many things that Dr. Phil says and they're EXACTLY how I feel and think! So nice to have someone to make me feel I'm not totally nuts! LOL

Yep, and he's so brutally honest. I just love the fact that he doesn't mince words or sugar coat anything. I remember him once telling a husband "man, you need to get real. If you don't change your ways this woman is gonna leave you" ... The look on that man's face was priceless!

I sure wish he'd do more shows on stepfamilies, though.
