I agree. I think if the "hot sauce mom" is charged with child abuse that Dr. Phil should go to jail too. He knew about it, and he exploited her and the child.

Quite frankly, I've thought that about him for a long time. I just don't get what people see in him!

I still like him. I find myself quoting him from time to time; he makes sense to me.

It seems as though some have had their fill of Dr. Phil ...

Watched his show a couple of times... but find that watching grass grow during a drought is far more fascinating... JMHO..

I used to think that he was truly trying to help and that he was concerned about the individual but no more. I think he is a phony and exploitive. In many cases he is feeding the need for the fame that some of the people he has on his show want and seek. And I have also noticed that he has climbed onto a high horse.

I only had his show on when I was out of work for background noise. I never liked him or the show, even before he got his own show and was on Oprah.

I watched 2 episodes of Tyra Banks and sent her an email giving her show an earful when she had a guest on her show that rather than help, she spent the hour berating her. Oprah would have helped the poor woman.

I'm glad I'm back to work. I don't have talk shows on tv at all anymore. I find them a waste of air space.

He never impressed me. I never understood his popularity. To hear he is going to the weird side doesn't surprise me. Hopefully Oprah will take all her protege with her to the new network.

The only reason people watch him is because Oprah Is his friend and backer.He should hang it up and Oprah has played out too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, definitely springer like; monday's show with the couple dealing with the husband's sex addiction was scary, I had to stop watching.
I rarely tune in to his show, but if I'm flipping through the channels I'll stop and see what he's doing that day. I liked his common sense advice in the past but now he seems to reach out for the more twisted , sensational situations and there's really nothing to be learned from that.

He's not even a licensed doctor in CA so AFAIC he's a fraud on that too. Never could stand watching any of his tripe You cain put a donkey on a swingset but yew still caint put turnips into a punkin pie. I rate all of that garbage about the same, whether it be Ellen Degenerate, The Spew, Orca Windbag, "Dr" Fail, Springer, Springer's Sidekick... You'd think they'd run out of trailer parks to provide their "contestants" wouldn't you? Gives trailer trash a bad name.

The only one that's somewhat entertaining at times is Maury Povich with their Ahm 150% (200%, 1000%) sure he's the daddy and the almost classic line, (and you can see it coming) You ARE NOT the father! and the woman, on script, hands on her face goes running into the back room boo-hoo-hooing, though "amazingly", seldom is there a tear while they're "crying". Had to chuckle at the show where they tested something like 17 guys. But even that show is only tolerable in *very* limited doses.

He is so full of himself and yes he is a more tranquil Jerry Springer nothing more. Oprahs networking is doing worse that the network she replaced, not good news for her.

I thought he started acting more like Jerry Springer years ago. I haven't watched his show in ages. Is it still on?

I don't watch either of them.
