My feelings exactly. Why he is still helping them is beyond me... They are all screwed up. Why would he be helping her get her kids back? Doesn't make sense to me..

Several years ago I heard he was having them on again for the THIRD time, and I saw from the promos that it was the same stuff. My thoughts were the same then as now......he must not be a very good 'doctor' if it's still the same ole, same ole. lol It's all like 'reruns' so no, I don't watch.

That's what I thought....he isn't doing a great job of counselling this family, they are a train wreck. He is just using them to sensationalize and gain viewers.

They could not have posssibly done a worse job of solving their problems if they had never heard of "Dr. Phil". I think I saw something saying the parents were headed for divorce. No surprise there.

I remember that show, years ago and wondered...But, to me, Dr. Phil is a jerk, only there to make the big bucks....

I have had those same thoughts...what a train wreck. And this family has had so many opportunities and so much $$$$ spent on them all in trips, counseling, jobs, cash; name it and Dr Phil has made it available. One of my major ???'s is "how in the world does Alexandra afford the hair do's, dye jobs, make up, spectacular shoes and cute clothes? Amazing. I guess Dr. Phil can't just cut them lose....but I sure would like to see the other members of this family do well. Alex... she''s just going to be a head-strong lost child and "spoiling" her isn't going to make her grow up. Maybe a touch of "reality" like a limited income, no car, food stamps, and thrift shop clothing would be a good wake up moment. Just my opinion.

I think there are some good things that have come out of Dr Phil's mouth over the years,,,,,,, but this family, YIKES... I don't think it's to his credit to keep featuring how dysfunctional they remain, despite all his YEARS of intervention, lectures, threats, "counseling", etc. I was surprised when I rather accidentally stumbled upon their most recent appearances. I hadn't watched the show in years!

I can't watch that clown. I just want to reach into the TV and smack *him* in the chops!

I've always wondered what people thought was so amazing about Dr. Phil. How he or his wife got to be celebrity status is beyond me; except that he's another product of Oprah.

He's just a guy with a PhD in Psychology who Oprah decided could make some big money for her.
Many people fell for her endorsement, and both he and Oprah have made millions off of the faithful Oprah followers.

Yes - he is a jerk - and is wasting his education...but
if he has a PhD in anything, it isn't "just a". That
took a lot of work and time. But, I guess to you it
is a trivial thing. Sounds like you have several, and
"just one" doesn't mean much. Lucky you. PhD's take years of time, hard work and money - regardless of what field
they are in.

Dr Phil has an educational doctorate, but is not licensed to practice. His license was revoked(after a short time in private practice) in Texas over 20 years ago for ethics problem and he has not been licensed by any board in any other state.

He built a small business as a jury selection consultant for defendants. He gained fame when he was the consultant on a case that Winfrey won against meat packers in Texas courts. She then touted him on her show as a great psychologist, and the rest is financial history.

Sorry, I didn't intend this post to start an argument about Dr. Phil, it was more about 'the family'. I guess this hit home to me because we have a situation in our family about someone having three kids in quick order, from three different guys, none of which stayed in the picture after getting her PG. The woman in the 'family' seems to think it is more important to have man in her life than take the legal and educated help from Dr Phil, to get her two kids back. Instead she got PG with the new guy, who'll probably not stay in the picture for the long haul. Dottie

Dottie, yes I must admit that I have been watching the "saga" of the "nutty family". But these latest episodes have really got my dander up!! I think this girl (not a mature woman) doesn't deserve to have any of her kids until she starts putting them FIRST, instead of the men (I should say boys) in her life.

I couldn't believe that she would not say "Tony will move out until the court case is done." She still doesn't get that those innocent children that she bore should always come first. And she is making Dr. Phil look like a buffoon for trying to help her.

I am tired of shouting at my TV when they're on...so I guess I should just watch "Ellen" or continue to create in my quilt room! LOL

Sometimes I find myself yelling at the screen I get so frustrated with this family's latest antics. On the other hand I have begun to realize that if anyone watching this show sees themselves in the same situation and can get educated on what not to do then it is important that this show is being aired. You have to wonder how some people can continue making the same mistakes again and again. I feel for the grandchildren - they are the ones paying the price.

Geesh Dottie this got my dander up and I didn't even watch the show...and why the heck is Dr Phil trying to help her get the kids...it sounds like she doesn't deserve them!!

This is a no-brainer. He's keeping them on and patronizing them for one reason: RATINGS. People love to watch this crap. It makes them feel better about their lives. It all boils down to $$$$, which is a result of ratings. Simple as that.

she doesn't deserve them...she was basically a womb who made them OJ...they deserve to be placed with a family who will love them, discipline them, educate them, feed and cloth them and bring them up to be functioning members of society...and in my eyes Dr Phil is no better for thinking she deserves them. Vannie said it all...it's about ratings and dollars...he could care less what happens to those kids...JMHO
