Stepdaughter tried to harm my daughter (her half sister)

My stepdaughter is fifteen and has been out of control for about three years. My husband had made every effort to work with her mom to try to stop her from going down this path, but his ex was always more interested in being a friend. She let my stepdaughter run wild. A couple weeks ago my sd posted on the internet that she was doing ecstacy and using other drugs. My husband told his ex and he got no responce for 2 weeks. She finally came to him and said their daughter was out of control. She had skipped school for the last 3 weeks and just did not listen to her mom. They were vey concerned and there was talk about her moving in with us and our three small children. I was very supportive of this because I really want my step daughter to have a good life. My husband and his ex did an intervention with sd. It did not go well. She theatend suicide so the cops had to take her the the emergency room. During this intervention she admitted that a while ago she tried to kill her sister by poisoning her. She was not remorseful. The social worker released her from the hospital that night and they had a crisis intrvention specialist come to her house yesterday. He asked if she would ever try to harm her siblings again. At first she said she would if it would get her out of coming to our house, and then she said no. Sorry not good enough for me. I never want to see her face again. I never want her around my children again. My husband is very upset of course and is talking about getting her the help she needs. Well that help is therapy three days a week after school . I think she needs to be institutionalized! My husband then brings up her living here because her mom cant handle her.(Her mom was drunk during the intervention and was asked to leave the er by the doctors because she had been drinking!) I do not want her here. I know it is my husbands daughter but I will not be able to sleep at night with her under this roof. I do not think I will ever get past this. I do not think I am overreacting, but if anyone can offer any perspective I would greatly appreciate it. I do feel awful for my husband, I can't imagine what it is like to see this happen to your child, and I agree with him that she is sick and she needs help, but I can't help hating her right now.
