Computer room switch causes monitors to turn off

My husband has a setup he uses for work, dual monitors and a decent machine. Occasionally when we flip the light switch in the room the monitors will cycle on/off. The rest of the equipment stays on. All equipment is behind the UPS. The UPS is RS-1500 from APC.

My husband says he thought he noticed a snap at the switch when it happens, but I don't recall that and he's not sure. Any idea what could cause this and how we could fix it? Possibly something as simple as grounding in the switchbox? We haven't replaced the switches and outlets in this room yet, if you saw my other post about dual switches in the bathroom.

Thanks,

Ellie
