Boundaries With Adult Children

My adult stepson (age 27) and I have a good relationship. The problem I'm having is a boundary issue that I'm not sure how to handle.

He comes every weekend with the kids (their mother stays home or is at work) without regard to what plans we might have. He has been known to stay until 10:30-11:00 p.m. at night and I can't seem to get anything done. I feel invaded. My stepson is a good kid. He works hard and goes to church. I really don't feel he realizes it.

My husband doesn't have a problem with him coming every weekend. It's going on 6 weekends straight now. What should I do? I don't feel I should say anything since my husband & I are not in agreement.

When I try to talk to my husband about it in a good tone and manner, his reaction is 'well, they are my grandkids!'. I mentioned that I was his wife, too. My husband has a very close family and he is one who has never left home to begin with. Please help!
