Long story. We have a surprise bathroom renovation (leak) and I have to make some quick decisions. Would it look ok to use darker tiles on a bathroom floor and lighter tiles on the shower walls or should I try to go with one color for all tile? Specifically, Im looking at American Olean costa rei for the floor with a datille brancacci for the wall. The reason for the different color tiles is that a few years ago I tried to update a very old pink and gold vanity, but because of our heat baseboards, it turned out to be too expensive a project. As I result, I bought a new top and faucet, and I wallpapered the vanity with a marble looking wall paper. It turned out really nicely, but as a result, I think Im now basing the new tile on the vanity, (unless I bite the bullet and renovate the heat and buy a new vanity). Have you seen darker floor tiles in a bathroom with lighter wall tiles?
