BM Light Pewter 1464

I just picked my paint colors, but I can change it if needed. I chose Light Pewter for my master bedroom and media room. In my lighting it looks like a brown-gray. Can anyone tell me if this is a warm or cool color? I want a warm bedroom, but not brown. I really liked how it looks a little taupey to me. Am I off base with this color though? The decorator at the local paint store told me it is a colder color?! Anyone have light pewter?

I just painted my kitchen BM Revere Pewter. It is very nice. Check it out on the BM site as it may be warmer than the light pewter for you. In my kitchen it looks like a grayish beige. I actually love it because it's understated and elegant. Good luck.

Rule about paint colors --- Lighting is everything.

I just moved into a new house and am repainting it all, b/c I am compulsive about painting first. Even if I have to repaint and repaint a room (immediately) till it's right, I do it. I AM compulsive.... and it always serves to remind me that Lighting (Light, not the lamps) is everything.

I tried Light Pewter in my bedroom, but it was a bit too much to the grey side of taupe for me. Another bedroom I did in a similar shade but leaning a bit more to the beige side is Edgecomb Grey. Has a very urban sophisticated look. I was happy with it for that room.

Revere Pewter is very nice, too. It is a bit warmer.

(Remember, Lighting is everything).

This happened to me too! Painted poster boards and moved them around the room to make sure I loved the color before painting the entire living/dining room. I did everything I was supposed to, and after two coats it was BABY BLUE!!! I was so upset. But then I held up the paint chip white dove (OC-17) to our trim, and our trim was YELLOW!!! I'd bet your trim isn't white, but rather a yellow or darker cream. Here's a pic. Same color, revere pewter, different trim. The trim on the right is white dove. The trim on the left is old, yellowed oil based trim of unknown name.

Using White Dove would be just fine for both. I have Extra White for my trim & Snow Caps for my ceiling. My ceiling is much warmer than my trim. We are relaxing upstairs in the loft now. I just snapped this pic. I love having the molding pop, but White Dove for both would work great. My master (the open door with the messy bed) is painted Revere Pewter & I LOVE that color!!

I am suggesting B.M. Light Pewter 1464 for trim because your roof, and, obioulsy the brick, have a good amount of red/brown tones. For the front door B.M. Silver Streak.will add a different an unexpected color in tune with the red/brown.

last year
I just repainted 5 out of my 6 walls in my room (one is an accent wall) in Light Pewter and find it to be a light beige gray and is very nice.
