Paint Design Dilemma Kitchens

What white ceiling color with BM Revere Pewter?

Hello!

Kitchen reno underway and we are doing (super) white cabinets with steel gray granite countertops (pic below). Overall black and white theme with light backsplash, black cabinet pulls, black sink and faucet, white door and trim, etc.

Questions:

1. Initial thoughts on Revere Pewter in kitchen with B&W color scheme with intention of using RP throughout the house for neutral scheme (possibly lighter shades of it in bathrooms)?

2. What is a good white for kitchen ceilings with Revere Pewter on walls. I don’t want anything cream, I like the whiter look. However ultra white paint almost hurts the eyes, lol. I saw BM White Dove mentioned for trim, any thoughts on using for ceiling?

We've used white dove exclusively on our ceilings, including rooms with revere pewter walls and white trim. We love the combination - it's a soft white without cream in our setting.

Using White Dove would be just fine for both. I have Extra White for my trim & Snow Caps for my ceiling. My ceiling is much warmer than my trim.
We are relaxing upstairs in the loft now. I just snapped this pic. I love having the molding pop, but White Dove for both would work great.

My master (the open door with the messy bed) is painted Revere Pewter & I LOVE that color!!

Paint colors should be chosen in the context of other elements in your room such as carpet, rug, tile floors, the headboard, bedding, decor and other furniture. Revere pewter is a green gray. It wouldn't be the best choice if your carpet or bed is pink beige, for example, a pink beige like Muslin would be. Also, have you considered wallpaper for the accent wall? I have seen some very nice bedrooms with some wallpaper as an accent. I think the one wall as a different paint color would be somewhat dated, if you care about that at all.

Here are a few with wood elements. A beautiful chandelier in this room would be beautiful along with good task lighting at the desk and possibly some at top of bookcases.

I see brown/green undertones in Revere Pewter; I see gray/brown undertones in Light Pewter Revere Pewter is a beautiful wall color. However, like any paint color, it will be affected by natural light. I have it in my living room/dining, which get east, north and south light and it Is perfect thought the day. You have very little natural light in the basement room, so going light isn’t always the answer. If you have a dark room where you need to have lights on all the time, do something deeper which works with the lighting you have. My experience is darker makes a space look bigger because the corner shadows aren’t as obvious.

Laquer paint doesn't go with the style of your cabinets. You can paint the cabinets white, although that is a big and expensive undertaking. Make sure the white is a warm white that works with your crown molding and countertops. Or just paint your walls a warmer color that minimizes the creaminess of your cabinets, which would be substantially easier and less costly.

Just painted whole house main walls with revere pewter and used edgecomb gray at 50% for my ceilings. I didn’t want white ceilings
