Hi--I don't have an opinion about the mats, but, for paint, I'd suggest considering Behr Daffodil for a warm yellow that's a "real" yellow but doesn't make your eyes pop out of your head. I used it for a similar room and it looked very nice. The room I used it in did not get a lot of natural light, so you might want to get a sample of it and try it out.

I just painted my bedroom in Martha Stewart's "Custard". I had seen it and thought it was the perfect yellow. Creamy, not lemon bright. I absolutely love it.

Benjamin Moore's Pale Moon is a beautiful soft yellow.

I'm looking at that decal....with the blue dress and the yellow hair and the pink butterflies and the fair skin.....and all I can think of with a yellow background is Easter Eggs!
I suggest a pale peachey beige like they have as a background for the decal display.

Thank you for all of the suggestions. Lindac, Yes, I think there will be a lot of colors, but I think I'm ok with that since it will be a playroom for my 3 year olds. I don't want the yellow to blow me away though either. Has anyone ever used BM shooting star, BM counting stars or BM north star? This room will get very, very little natural light, just fyi. I've also included the link to the other decal that I will be using in the room.

I have BM Man on the Moon in my laundry and exercise rooms. The color is a happy color that makes laundry less of a chore and exercise something I look forward to doing. It also goes very well with your two decals.

There is a BM color 1 up from the color Straw which could also work (I think). I don't have the deck in front of me but I used Straw in a playroom once w/ the trim and built in's being the next 2 lighter colors and it was really pretty. I think that a pale yellow will def. work.

Foxespad, I don't see a straw, but I did find straw hat. Is that perhaps the one you meant?

Nevermind foxespad! I found straw on the website. It's just not in the paint deck I have.

LOL! I should have kept reading because I ran to my desk, whooshed all of the loose lego's off to get to my deck. Looking at te Flteres Sunlight though, it may read 'peachy'? I'd toss out additional colors but it's easy to get overwhelmed so better to look at what's already been suggested and go from there.

Thank you everyone for your help! I've decided to go with BM North Star. I think it is light enough to not overpower the room (I'm painting the ceiling the same color and there isn't much natural light in the room), and, the name "north star" is very sentimental to me so it just seemed to fit! Thanks again!
