Comments (5)Will the ceiling be vaulted? Does the ridgepole/beam stay exposed? Does the table go in front of the window? I'm assuming since you have 4 pendants that they are mini's. Are they clear or are they ornate and flashy? I have to say it would drive me nuts to have to rely on recessed pot lights for dining. Especially if those pot lights are high in a vaulted ceiling. So I would definitely want a chandelier/hanging light over the table. I'd be tempted to change the fan blades to white to coordinate with ceiling (unless ceiling is going to be wood or another color), in any case make the fan as unobtrusive as possible. And I'd choose a hanging light for over the table at the same time I chose pendants, with an eye toward coordinating since they are so close. Just an unrelated question - are you putting your cooktop on the peninsula, and planning seating at that peninsula?...See MoreCalling paint color experts -- need help finding blue/gray paint color
Comments (16)Oldbat2be, thank you so much for the mock ups! This was the kick in the pants I needed to talk to my contractor. I forgot to mention that our w/d will be white too so the cabs will likely clash with those, so I think we've got to paint. mdln, good suggestion -- I'm pretty sure they are warm. I'll check and see if cool lights help. daisychain01, thanks, reveal hopefully coming soon! raven, I just looked at Krypton and it is beautiful. I'm going out to get some samples tomorrow and will paint a sample board of my top 3 colors and put it in the room and report back....See MoreNeed help with paint color for dark and light kitchen/great room!
