USB plug and 3 pin plug help needed to connect the wires

So im working on a project, to make an iphone 5 charger without the usb plug.

I dismantled the usb plug and found out that there's 4 different wires namely, d+, d-, v and GND
I also dismantled the 3pin plug for iphone charger and found out there's 2 wires namely the live and neutral wire

So i have a question how do i connect the wires to make the charger work without using the usb port?

I'm not sure I understand what you a re doing. Live and NEUTRAL want to be nowhere NEAR the USB cable wiring. The iPhone charger (the block part that plugs into the wall) isn't just a plug, it's a small DC power supply that provides 5V at about an amp.

The wiring on the iPhone end of the cable puts the ground on the first pin (far right if you are holding it with the wider side of the plug DOWN) and +5V on the next one.

On the end that plugs into the power supply (the larger end of the cable), holding the plug with the USB logo up, the ground is the far left contact, the +5V goes on the far right.

Most cables use BLACK for ground, RED for +5V, and white and green for the differential data line.

basically what i need to do is to remove the usb port from the lightning cable and connect it straight to the apple 3 pin plug. so i was wondering how can i connect the wires to make it work. is it possible to do it?

For the connection to be secure: Apply a few drops of oil to the end of the wire. Push it thru the narrow end of the boot. Use a nose plier to pull the end out thru the end that goes onto the spark plug. Rotate the boot so that the small hole on the wire is aligned with the upper portion of the boot. ie:the hole should be in the opposite direction to the narrow end. From the picture it looks like the open end has straightened out a bit, so bend it slightly to give you a slight hook. Push the 'hook' into the small hole. If possible, use a plier to bend the hook a bit more once its fully in the wire. This will help it secure the hook even better. Now comes the tricky part: Pull the wire at the narrow end so that the end with the spring is pulled into the boot. While pulling it, use a nose plier to hold the spring in placeon the wire. Just before the spring goes into its correct position, you will have to push the spring while gently pulling the wire at the other end. Once everthing is in place, tug the wire to make sure that the spring has seated in the wire, or you might have to start all over again. So ensure that you dont have this problem again, lightly grease the knob on the spark plug. And, the next time you have to detach the boot from the spark plug, hold the boot and while pulling it off twist it in a clockwise direction, this will loosen the spring a bit. You can use a 20A duplex and feed it with a 12X3 W/G wire. You remove the shorting bar between the hot side (brass) side of the duplex and put the red wire on one screw, the black wire on the other screw, the white wire on the metallic screw and the bare wire on the green screw. With this configuration the red and black wires MUST be on different phases in the branch panel and both breaker trip handles should be connected together so if one trips the other goes with it. A simple 220V 20A breaker would work just fine. You can then draw up to 20 amps from each receptical at the same time. The nuteral (white wire) current would be the difference between the plugs. I have done this in many locations in my home, it passed inspection. The parts are available at any home depot or lowes. The simplest solution is to simply use it as is because only one of the two loads would be on at any one time so no overload.

While dryers and ranges have typically been 120/240 V loads there is a long standing exception allowing the use of 3-wire circuits. The exception still allows the use of the older 3-wire circuits and almost all ranges and dryers come with instructions for either installation. The change to the exception is that it is now strictly a 'grandfather' exception. All new circuits must be 4-wire, and if any changes are made to a 3-wire circuit it must be changed to 4-wire. Many ranges and dryers do not even come with a cord attached, but one is purchased to match the circuit in the house the unit will be installed in. The difference in the equipment is usually the removal of a bonding screw between the neutral terminal and the chassis. A 3-wire installation bonds the neutral to the chassis for safety, while a 4-wire uses the ground in the circuit to ground the chassis. The wire resistance is low enough that having a neutral grounded chassis for the small 120 V loads (motor and timer typically) does not produce enough voltage drop in the wiring to be detected by people (the chassis has a voltage equal to the voltage drop in the neutral leg present).

The welder most likely has the two hots wires and a ground. The range receptacle has two hot wires, a ground, and a neutral. You just don't connect anything to the neutral, it doesn't need or care about it.

On the lighting connector pin 1 is ground, pin 5 is power (if you're looking at the end of the plug with the contacts up, pin 1 is on the right).

As stated the "plug" end of the cord is a standard USB cable as described above.

What "three pin" plug. Every iPhone charge I've ever seen is a two bladed plug with a USB "A" plug. The only three pin one I've seen is the brittish one and it has a completely plastic (non-conductive) blade for the ground pin.

It amazes me how some folks want to re-invent the wheel.

All you did was ruin a $20 Lightning cable. WHY in the world would you want it hard wired to a brick??? The modular USB concept is the best part about modern day chargers.

All you want is to not have to use the apple wall plug and still have fast charging? Your question could be clearer.

Your best bet is as above stated...buy it.

If you want to mod the cable thats a little different.

I was looking into making a hub useable for fast charging and data transfer at the same time. I found it to be complicated by apple. They add ressistors to there plug lines to disallow fast charging from some devices. The resistor can vary from iphone models.
I was looking at the time the 4 was the thing so maybe things have changed.

There was a company that would sell the mod parts but I forget the name. For some reason I think they could not sell completed units... legalese crap.

In the end I never made the time to do the mod. Just use the wall plugs.

You make me wonder if fast charging will work in the hard wired wall usb outlets I bought... never though to check. I never had an issue other than hubs.

You may be better served asking at a place like XDAdevelopers.
