Those lilies are pretty much done, but i have some decent pictures that i'll place where the lilies were. My red, yellow and red-and-yellow lilies will still be blooming on Sunday - thank goodness! Of the daylilies, only Silent Sentry is blooming so far, but some of the others may open by then. Centrefold is just starting to open now, as are some of the Orienpets (i thought the fasciated ones were Orienpets, but they weren't), and there are a couple more that are going to open this week. Lots of yarrow is blooming, and some veronica spicata, as well as hollyhocks, delphiniums (may be touch-and-go), filipendula and a few campanula. There are lots of cosmos and poppies too, nicotiana, impatiens and morning glories. And i got started on the weed whacking this morning - it's too hot again, so i'm here inside until it cools down. Have to laugh - i've been keeping track of the WeatherNetwork's predictions for Sunday ever since it came on to the two-week trend. Here are the predictions for each day: Sunday July 9th - cloudy, 28° Monday July 10th - partly cloudy, 29° Tuesday July 11th - rain, 33° Wednesday July 12th - cloudy, 23° Thursday July 13th - no data Friday July 14th - mix of sun and cloud, 21° Saturday July 15th - mostly sunny, 25° Sunday July 16th - cloudy, 26° Monday July 17th - sun and cloud, 29° Tuesday July 18th - a few showers, 29° Anal? No - it gives me a good laugh! LOL I love weather predictions!

Nothing special these days. I am babysitting for my daughter this weekend so they can do their Valentine's Day dinner early in west Los Angeles. The following week prices go up an additonal $100 or more for their dinner out, if they can even get a reservation. So being old marrieds, they go out the week before. Our son emailed that his wife designed a darling Downton Abbey Valentine's card and is selling it at her Etsy shop, and it is going gang busters. If you want to see her cute card, which is printed on wood, it is at http://www.etsy.com/shop/PineandParcel. I love it and think it is so cute. They are our newlyweds. I gave my daughter my heart shaped pans, or I would make some Rice Crispy Treats in them for my visit that week. Ah well, she wants to make chocolate covered strawberries, and that will be sweets enough. My DH usually brings home a rose after his morning coffee out.

Well, it's 3 weeks later and we closed on the land sale today and are under contract on the "replacement" rental property set to close at the end of the month. Title work on that came back clean today and inspection set for Thursday. Actually, after offering based on comps and then walking away from the house mentioned in my original post, we're under contract on a different property. It's newer, more upscale, and we were able to get it slighly under good recent comps. It should very rent well, but we won't have to worry about rentals for a while because we've agreed on the terms of a lease to rent it back to the Sellers while they build - a win-win for everyone!

boba1, Nice to see all the talk about FL Speed Queens these last several months, Speed Queen was wise to bring it back and not discontinue it as it's a quality machine. Regarding your question...The Speed Queen is sitting packed up in it's original box in the cellar for the last three years as the Bosch is still running as new after the bearing replacement. I have no inclination to sell it. Edit: Just noticed this was exactly three years to the date I originally posted this thread, time flies. Jeff
