Absurd triumph of ADHD!

Those of you with ADHD kids (or other behavioral disorder that cause problems with decision making and foreseeing consequences) might get a kick out of this one:

Our place gets ants in the spring (it's just a fact of my suite and I've adjusted to it). I was putting on my makeup the other day and A__ was sitting on the floor talking to me.

He said "AndCephGuessWhat there's an ant on your wall."

"Want to squash it?"

He got up, examined the ant, began to lift his hand to squash it and stopped himself... "Uh, no, because if that will leave a mark on the wall and you'll make me wash it off. So I'll just wait for it to go away instead"

You know what my first thought was?? "Oh my goodness! He thought through the consequences of an action before he made a decision!!! I'm so pleased!" and then I laughed my butt off at my reaction.

Whoever thought I'd be so happy about a kid not wanting to clean up a mess :)
