I was in Kino's in February! Interesting place. Unfortunately, none of their styles fit me well enough to buy them (I'm always hard to fit). But my sister bought a nice purse for about $20. Here's Kino's: Not a fancy place at all! It's basically a warehouse type building, with a counter that displays all the sandals. You can see the sandals lined up on the counter in this photo. You ask the person behind the counter to hand you the size you need (they're all right behind the counter), you try them on (no worries about bare feet, apparently!), and out you go!

Love that Key West Don! I have the plant but not sure which one of my yellows it is. Guess I'll find out in a couple of years. Don't feel bad mk, Naylor has done that to me three years in a row ( my only orders with them) and I placed all my orders before January. I've heard nothing but good things about them, but unfortunately they can't seem to get an order right for me. The only reason I tried them again this year was to get Pistache and Gameboy......guess which two hostas they DIDNT ship? Thankfully my orders from Greenhill and LOTG are always perfect.

Second the suggestion to go out to see Dry Tortugas/Ft Jefferson. It's an incredible structure way out in the Gulf and the snorkeling and sea life is abundant and beautiful. You can go by catamaran ferry or if you've got the bucks I'd recommend going by seaplane because you will be flying over some amazing shoals. That's Mel Fisher treasure hunting territory :). If you don't mind a bit of honky-tonk you can go see some of what he found in town at the Mel Fisher maritime museum. Also check out a tour of Hemingway's house which is fascinating, and if you are a history buff you might want to see the Truman Little White House; it's not a National Park Service site but interesting. Speaking of history, you can also tour Fort Zachary Taylor then enjoy the beach at the state park there. Tons of restaurants, some of which are superb and some of which are just colorful and touristy--but if you're a tourist in high season in Key West why not?!
