Help me pick out a carpet please..

I'd like to have an 8' square rug cut for the sitting area in my dining/sitting room. I've picked out three samples. No matter what I did the colors wash out when I take the photo, but they are all a butterscotch shade, which picks up the same color in the parsons chairs. The swatch on the chair is for a slipper chair that I'm having upholstered (will have the navy wing chair fabric as piping).

In RL the diamond rug is actually too dark, the ribbed sample is the best color, and they are all available in the same color selections. What do you think?

Really pretty selections, and I am glad you clarified saying the colors are all available. I like the one that is like wood slats best, and then the ribbed. I think the wood slats one in really interesting but not too much pattern, and wear wise, I think it has the most variation in color so will cooperate the most with living. I should have prefaced this by saying I am far from an expert. Now let's see what the real experts will say.

I always get a sense benches, such as those pictured, are really just another piece of "garden art". To be looked at - maybe to set down a flat of plants while digging holes; lean a spade against; to sit on briefly surveying one's little realm once the bird droppings are daubed off... but not for hunkering down with a good book and beverage of choice.

Not allowed to paint wood wall unfortunately, I’m a renter. I’ve learned to embracing it lol. Who knew finding the right coffee table could be so hard? I need it to be about 17” in height and about 30” in diameter for a round table. So hard to find. I think I’m going to go round because of how square my couch is. Have you purchased any of the shown pieces or painted with any of the colors yet? May we see the room you are working with? What's the lighting situation? That is your first step if you want to get the colors right. Upgrade lights to 3500- 4000K LED's and take photos of where you are now in the process.

The diamond pattern. The wood-slats one atop a wood-slats floor looks strange to me--if you have a lovely wood floor, why would you want to replicate that pattern in a rug, which is what it would look like you were doing? And the 3rd option is too bland, not IMHO worth spending extra money to have a rug hand-cut when you could probably find that online or in a store (altho I understand the problem of color-matching).

You've decided on this avenue for sure? No solid-on-solid pattern, for example?

Well, I'll be the odd man out. I like the plainest one near your buffet and the door. I think it will go best with your furniture and the pattern on the fabric you have chosen (like that, too-I have a similar one on two chairs-different color-that I love). It is clean and simple and won't compete with the rest of the room.

Have you turned the samples in every direction to see how the light changes the colors? Very important to get that right. I like the diamonds under the chair, too.

The diamond one echos your fabric and that's always a good decorators touch. That's my favorite.

Thanks ladies - looks like most of you like the diamond pattern. Pammyfay, I loved the samples you posted (and thank you for that input) but just like most patterned rugs, I can't get the right size. I need 8x8 or 8x9.
Sheila you're not alone, my DH & DS both like the planks. I'll admit I was in cyn427's camp, leaning towards the ribbed, but I like the diamond too. I'll ask to see a sample of that one in the right color before I order. Cyn - I would love to see a photo of your chairs!
Sherrmann I want the ribbing to go across the room to help widen it visually (the diamond has very distinct ribbing too)so you're looking at all the samples in the right position.

My strongest reaction was to the diamond rug as well. Love it!

Elsa42, I just LOVE your dining booth! Comfortable yet elegant. I'm jaylous. (Southerner. LOL)
