What to do with two legs?

I need to find a use for two table legs that I have. Almost three years ago now DH and I took an old fake wood desk that his step mom gave us and we cut the desk part off and just kept the drawer side to make DD a night stand and to have more storage for her. I saved the legs because I knew they held such promise.

I thought about a small table or something but there are only two legs...how will I get it to stand up? I have another different but much skinner leg here, too and I thought I could always put it in the center in the back for extra support and do some small shelf across the bottom?

Have any other ideas for them?

Two legs - two tables. I've seen some really cute one legged tables. There are various shapes. I think a triangle corner table for decoration only would be neat.

How about attaching a shelf (table top) to a wall with L-brackets or decorative brackets and attaching the legs on the opposite corners. It will look like a table pushed against the wall.

If you want to use one leg only, cut the shelf into a semi-circle and center the leg on the round edge. This way you can make two matching tables.

Sevimo, I don't know if you're asking a question or making a statement. If you are going to coppice that one shrub now is the time. You'll just have to deal with it looking crappy for one season. If you happen to see new leaf growth on the legs than it might only have been the case where the shrub was pruned improperly to begin with and now that it's properly pruned more light is getting to the area stimulating leaf growth, which means problem solved. If that's not the case than either way (coppice or transplant) the area's not going to look good for a season or two (or more if transplanting).

Hello, It sounds like you may have leafhoppers. I've been having a problem with these little green buggers too. I just sprayed mine today with some random insecticide that my father-in-law brought over and I don't know if it was for them but it killed them. I had two issues in my house and I have done the following... I did foam board in a hallway because it is going to be torn out in a year or two. I put a thin coat of joint compound on it and painted. I nailed the foam board up like you would dry wall. Found the foamboard at the dollar store. I mixed a gallon of dark brown paint to joint compound and got a brush from the dollar store and burshed it on in a swril design like the walls. My walls were a light tan and mixing the dark paint in the white JC made it a light tan ceiling. Both of these fixes were done last March so it has been a year and a half and everything still looks good. The ceiling in the kitchen I do not understand what your question about "cleaning". I used ceiling paint then painted the color I wanted. They sell paint now that has both the undercoat and paint in one. So you do not have to do two steps. I have not tried it so I cannot say for sure it will work if there is a lot of oil and dirt.

I was a spoiled child and had everything I asked for. As an adult I became very frugal and save 50% of my income. I want to retire at 60. If I die before that time comes I still would have no regrets. I am able to sleep well at night because I have savings and absoulutely no debt. That feeling alone is worth the sacrifice. I don't have any family that could help me financially in my old age. If I live into my eighties or nineties, I don't want to worry about whether I can afford to pay bills or medical care. Everyone has different needs. The things that make me the happiest don't cost any money. I love going to the lake and bringing a good book. The only thing I want to do differently when I retire is to have a weekly massage. I don't have any heirs so my money will go to helping homeless animals. Peace happy Thanksgiving, Donna

Could you put your two fancy legs on the front of a rectangular table, and put two plain 2x2 or 3x3(depends on the size of the front legs...make them balance visually) legs on the back side?????

Are they decorative or plain? How long and how wide? My sister has used them as candlesticks, in the ways mentioned above, as dowels for a towel holder, cut them to shorter lengths and used them as legs for a counter top shelf.

I've seen a lot of tables that have fancy legs on the front and just straight legs in the back, if you are wanting a table.

I have old,old legs from kitchen tables. The are turned legs with the paint peeling and chiping.

One of them I put a base on and about a 6 inch square top. I use it like a fern stand. Sometimes with a plant or sometimes I perch a weather bird house on it.

I know your is sweets98....but I noticed your screen name after I hit submit.

When I was a teenager....Our most popular rock station was "Sweet98" it was 98.something (can't remember anymore) on the dial....(no digital in those days...lol)
