Good luck to you, OJ. I hope your socks and walking does the trick. If someone asks about the multiple socks, just tell them you've always been an overachiever. If one is good two are better.

The lovely compression stockings! My mom wore those for years, and she wore them with shorts too, minus the second pair of socks. I don't think that was a matter of vanity though, she just didn't think about wearing a second pair to make the expensive ones last longer :-) They do last a long time, btw. Good luck with your treatment OJ. Enjoy the exercise while the weather is nice and try to get indoors with it when it's not so nice!

Walked in the mall yesterday morning with Bruce ... and did a couple of errands during it.

Walked to a neighbour's to show them the black knee-length pressure sock, the white sport sock over it, and the long beige one, with the white sport sock over it, on the other leg ...

... but it was around 10 p.m. ... and they turned their light out just as I approached their door.

Maybe I'll see them later this evening ... they go to their trailer near the lake about 40 miles away, weekends.

The new stocking is more pressurized than the knee-length one ... I had a bit of difficulty getting the lower leg part down over the heel, last eveing.

Would this heel be a bit too big, do you think?

The neighbours'd gone to the cottage.

Took my secod walk along the paved road in front of the farm about 1 a.m.

Brought Bruce to TO (that's "Toronto") today, now en route home, thught that I hadn't even done one half-hour walk today ... but I walked, off and on, for over an hour where the street is blocked off for the festival in Toronto where Bruce is entertaining the kids with balloons twisted into animal, hat, sword, etc. shapes.

I'm near Hamilton, now, en route home.

Maybe stop for a snack soon - slice of jammed toast down my throat plus coffee has been fuel for the day (till 4:45) so far.

Some time ago, in a discussion about what makes for the good life, my suggestion was first, good genes ... and there's not a darn thing that we can do about that!

Second - an optimistic outlook on life, though when you hear me discussing some of life's, the world's and society's major problems, you might be inclined to question that one on my part.

Third, I figure, is taking reasonably good care of one's body (plus mind and spirit) ... but if you could interview my body about it's life, and the guy that runs its show, it would likely say, "Boy ... can I tell you some things about *him*!!".

Life is good.

It's 7:30 p.m. and I've taken only about a third of the first of my two assigned half hour walks for today. It'll be walking along the edge of the paved back road in the dark. Not risky (unless drunk - I imagine, not having experienced that, thus far).

Bad boy.

I had more beans that needed picking, too ... and wasn't supposed to pick bush beans while kneeling, yesterday, so did it standing up, despite some mild complaining on the part of my back.
