Wedding is over and my feet still hurt!!

My daughter got married yesterday and I am still hurting. It was a home wedding, my favorite kind. They were suppose to be married on the beach but the traffic going to the beach was so backed up with spring breakers they decided to cancel and have it at their home. It was beautiful and everyone had a good time. But just as they were saying their vows, here comes the Ice Cream truck. You should have seen the faces of the kids, you could just tell that they wanted to run out and stop him. It was really funny so we were all laughing. In one picture my little grand daughter got mad at the photographer when he kept telling her to lower her bouquet, she stuck her tongue out at him. I did the little bouquets and I cooked. But just with that I am pooped. Here are a few snaps of the family.

Bebe, beautiful daughter and family and it all looks wonderful. I laughed so hard when I read about the ice cream truck and DGD sticking her tongue out at the photographer. That is pricelss.

Hope you are feeling better soon and have some painting projects to share with us. I miss not having several projects here every week. I need to kick it in the butt and do my share.LOL

Hi Punk, I am feeling better - we have a lot of pine pollen this time of the year and I always get sick from it. The wedding was special but I am glad it is over. They have been engaged for a year but decided to get married less than 2 months ago so the whole family pitched in. Her husband has 14 brothers and sisters, my daughter only has a brother but with everyone's help they changed the venue from the beach to the house within a matter of two hours. Amazing.

The last think I painted was the vintage tote I posted several weeks ago. Now I can start concentrating on painting a few things I have been wanting to do for a while now.

My grandson is doing wonderfully. He isn't exhibiting any systoms or ticks. I so hope the word will be passed about P.A.N.D.A.S. I just saw on the Today show that the little girl who had the constant sneezing last year was diagnosed with P.A.N.D.A.S. She is now symptom free after undergoing treatment. The sad part is there is no cure - the symptoms can always reappear if he gets sick.

UFO!!!! I graduated HS the same year Jodi. While I loved Rock, I eventually turned into a real disco boy. Grew up where they filmed Saturday Night Fever, Danced at Studio 54 (did way more than dance, but the kids are reading this post...LOL)I was also one of those New Wave nuts for a while, you know, green / blue pony tail, ala Duran Duran hair...scary, but damn those were some great times in NYC. Larissa, that Basuto is beautiful even if you don't think you're getting the color correct. And Wedding Dance is gorgeous, have you tried a Ludwigs Dazzler yet? The little H. Larissa I have has not grown any leaves yet but the bulb seems to have grown quite a bit in size, can't wait for the sunroom to warm a bit more at night, that's when the growth will start. Lar, the Papillio babies are holding their own, and I think we may have talked about an aphroditie? they are recovering nicely from the bulbfly surgery and seem to be enlarging. I find the aphrodite to be evergreen, the forced dormancy last fall 07, was not appreciated by the bulbs. They are also repeat bloomers for me, 3-4 stalks a year. Spring and summer from surprisingly small bulbs for the amount of bloom. Now, you're starting to sound like Jodi with her soil, back away from the Basuto... Gotta get me a Basuto, Black Pearl, or even a Red Lion. Can't believe I have no solid red here! Zombie is showing signs of a stalk, Piccolo, and Jungle Bells (thanks for the JB Mariava)are as well. I've got a vittatum from Jane_artist that is also putting out roots and the bulb is enlarging but no leaf growth yet. Here is a link that might be useful: For Jodi

I am going through the same thing here, me and my husband have only been married for 9 months he has lft me 4 times, due to my children, I have a 19 yr old son who was living on his own and he had to move back w us in august 08, he has a job, he is trying to fix his truck, he has been blowing his money on his truck, but it still needs work, my husband left on dec 9th, with no warning, he just said that he was tired of my kids running over us. he was not working i have been the main bread winner for almost a year, he also took 2 grand out of our acct, we had a joint cking. He was wrking side jobs here and there, but nothing big, he would make a few hundred dollars once in a while, he did do all of the housework, dinner, washing clothes, etc...he did give me a lot of affection, attention, and i know he does love me. he is living two hours away, he says he does not want a divorce however he cant move back in with me and my son. he says i let my son do what ever he wants, he has no responsiblities, i do take my son to work every day. I have to constantly remind him to do chores, my son and husband got in a fist fight the night he left, and was confronted about taking the money out of the bank. I know i have been a slack parent. but i do love this man, he is good to me, however leaving me for the 4th time makes me wonder what to do. I am so confused, he says he does not want a divorce, i started the filing, but i have delayed it until i can decide what to do. my freinds do not like my husband they say he is no good for me. the neighbors dont like him, he is overbearing with disipline. i agree, however when you still love someone it is hard to let go. we never had one fight or fuss until my kids moved back in. i cant go to my freinds for any advice, they just see what he has done, they dont see the good times we had, but how can i just kick my son on the street with no where to go? how can he expect me to do that? i am so torn and confused myself I can relate to your situtiation very well help me also with some advice

Hi Kids, both of my feet feel better today but I still feel like I am walking with a wad of cotton under the 4th toe on my right foot. Not as bad as it was this past weekend. georgesmom, the pain on the top of my left foot that feels like Arthritis comes and goes also. I can be fine when I get up but the pain will start without warning. If I take Ibuprofin or the like, it will feel better to the point of not being a problem. But some mornings I can wake up and not walk because of the pain. Like yours, it comes and goes. pattico, I have a high tolerance for pain also. I can take a lot, but when I can not walk because of pain it is just so inconvenient. We women can put up with just about anything and still accomplish what we need to during our days, but pain that stops you in your tracks is something else and oh so anoying. sleeperblues, I do not have diabtets and I am almost sure I do not have peripheral vascular disease. I had thought of reasons other than strain or Arthritis which is why I will try to get in to see the Dr. Apps are not easy to get around here so I better start that process now. Thanks again, Kids. I hope we all feel better soon. Time to go out to the garden and dig! sooey

Bonjour to you all this morning, Thank you for all your posts. Very interesting. This happened to me Friday night. It's late and i'm just about to go to bed when the phone rings. I answer and this is what i hear: I am so sorry i did not call you for your anniversary last night. You night i always call you. but i was so busy all day -going to school, rush here, rush there, go to work at night. Believe me, i am really, really sorry.! And i said ; who is talking please. And my youngest SD said it's me.(she said her name)! I couldn't believe it. I didn't even recognized her voice she was so much in a panic state like. I truly, truly felt she was honest and that she hadn't had the time to call me the night before. Oh well, better late than never. I knew there must have been a good reason for my youngest sd not to call me. After i hung up, i lit a little candle and i thank the lord and i said i was sorry for jumping up to conclusions so fast. The oldest SD was right there when the youngest called. I could hear her and her children in the back. She never wished me a happy birthday! I really think it's her lost. As far as them coming over ever tuesday nights, i really don't care anymore what hubby does. I've made plans to go to the library and to aqua fitness class on tuesday nights. I did that last week, and i truly, truly enjoyed it. I'm leaving everything to DH for the supper, etc. When i did mention potluck, he thought that was funny but i know he will never mention it to them because first of all its the ex-wife who is paying the food for the youngest SD and also for the oldest SD who is living there with her two children. Beautiful daughter, my best wishes to her and the new groom. Now we know where you have been--it is allot of work to get ready for events like that! Loved both stories as well, those are the kinds of things that are so enjoyable to look back on and talk about at future family gatherings. So glad to hear that your GS is doing so much better now. What a big relief. Luvs

It is very nice to also hear that your DGS is doing so much better.

Belle, that happens to me all the time too! I think I hit "return to forum" instead of "submit" sometimes. Still frustrating isn't it? ;o)

Your daughter is just gorgeous Bebe!! What a good lookin family you have!! I see your GD sticking her tongue out. That is a wedding memory to give you a laugh. ha So awesome that everyone helped to get it changed from the beach to home in such short order. I bet it turned out more special even with the ice cream truck. Thanks for sharing your pics. Rest up now!! ha ~Anj
