can anyone tell me where i can find a pattern for a shelf sitter doll whose body is made from a block of wood but the arms & legs are made of cloth and cotton batting thanks so much linda w

I don't have a pattern, but when I collected dolls you could buy them in the toy department at the stores at doll stores. If you can find an old pair, take it apart and use it as a pattern. Panties would be easy to make. I googled and found sock panties, very clever. They wouldn't have to be a certain size because they would stretch. Here is a link that might be useful: sock panties

I am looking for the pattern for a set of dolls whos bodies were made from a skien of yarn. I know how to make the dolls but forgot how to crochet the clothes. The girl had on a pinafore and a bonnnet,the boy a ball cap, vest and pants. They had pom poms on their ankles. Any help would be grately appreciated.

I agree with the 'do what makes you feel good'. That being said-I guess I'm from the 'old school' where when you dressed up-either slacks or a skirt/dress...you always wore stockings/pantyhose, etc. Well..y'all should see these gals here in FL..when out clubbing..not one woman is wearing hose of any kind! Now-if I was under 30 & had no old veins showing-I'd go hoseless as well, but at my age-when I dress up? I want to cover the years of spider veins, etc (that I've accrued over the years) in order to look nicer in dresses, etc. Hard to teach an old dog.......
