Hi Crete Artisan, I am trying to make first a POP leaf casting, and then use it to make a re-useable silicone mold using Marlinska's Photobucket tutorial as a guide. (Thank you Marlinska). She uses the Murphy's as the release agent between the POP master and the silicone mold. I recently found this GW posting by Nofu which seems very thorough. "I personally like dry mold releases rather than greasy ones. For porous materials like plaster, I like to buff in several coats of Johnson's paste wax, leaving only a micro thin layer on the surface and then allowing it to completely haze over before making the mold. For non-pourous surfaces, like glass, I take Ivory dish soap and mix it 1:3 with distilled water. Use a soft artist's brush and swish the sudsy mix over the surface of the model while drying with a blow drier in the other hand. The result should be a thin soap film that is relatively dry to the touch. Petroleum jelly (Vasoline) will also work, but is messy to clean up. I don't like PAM or other cooking sprays. Silicone sprays make great mold releases for everything EXCEPT silicone. They tend to become part of the mold and may actually increase adhesion. Also avoid petroleum based lubricating sprays. They are messy and make it difficult to brush the silicone over the surface evenly.' From what he says, I would be better using a wax paste rather than a soap-based release? That will be the next thing I can't find here, sigh....

No mistake it is Pure Essentials on the label. I purchase Sothy's skin care products at this salon and did purchase the PE eye cream and PE pineapple facial scrub both pricy. I 'm a sucker to try any new product. Thought I could find reviews online just like anyother product but unable to. I know about the Downy/soap, etc but looks like this product doesn't even exist. I will ask the owner when I go back next week. She says all her customers love it just like Sothy's, but who knows, probably just a sale's pitch. Thanks and sorry about the double posting. Botulism can kill you. botulism /bot·u·lism/ (boch´ah-lizm) an extremely severe type of food poisoning due to a neurotoxin (botulin) produced by Clostridium botulinum in improperly canned or preserved foods. There is lots of info about this topic. They all say the same thing, do not purchase or eat a can that has expanded/bulged it could make you very sick or ill. I have had a soap dispenser for many years at my sink. I don't remember the brand but when we did some renovations 2 1/2 years ago, the same old dispenser went into the new granite counter top and it still works great. I don't have one at our lake home and I miss it. I found out about the Never MT attachments so you can have a large jug of dish soap and not bother always filling the small bottle. You used to be able to get 2 or 3 of them for a better price or free shipping (can't remember exactly). I asked a couple friends if they wanted one while I was ordering mine and they didn't have soap dispensers. But only because they never even knew of them or thought of them. I find I am often using the dish soap to wash my hands when working with raw meat or something. It's antibacterial and I don't even keep hand soap there. It doesn't seem to dry out my hands or anything.
