I seen in a Doctors office at Christmas time a few years ago a Christmas stocking made out of jeans (Wrangler jeans)...

It was sewn together so that the pocket was really the part you put your hand in..... and it was cut down the outside of the zipper,,[i think]

Anyway, I thought if anyone had the pattern or knew what I was takling about you gals (and guys) would!

Thank you lots for responding....however, I cant open it!bummmer.. :o(

It tells me it has 'bad font[s].
But if I click the go ahead button it then pops up 'error' again and the page is total blank..(adobe used)

I was just kidding when I said I was really starting Christmas. Not kidding now, I took a order for a Christmas purse today. The lady said she seen the material and couldnt pass it up)and wanted to get it done before there was a wateing list.. Most of the time it's a 3+ weeks. Sooooo, as of today I have started my holiday sewing items... What do I say about it?

I say bring'em on!!!! I need something to take my sun dried brain off the 100+ degree heat here in Oklahoma !!!!! Woo-Hoo!!! That being said, below is a link to my web page.

Firstly, crassula are sun hardy, but you can't just slap them out in the blazing sun or they'll burn. You have to acclimate them by starting out with a shady spot, then slowly increasing the time they recieve direct sun over a few weeks. I do find that they will get a little TOO red with full sunup to sundown exposure. They perform better with direct sun minus the later afternoon sun. The acclimation thing applies to ALL succulents. None of them will tolerate being moved from your house or a plant shop, right out into the direct sun. As for watering, if you have branches falling off, then you are definately overwatering. A big question here is what kind of soil are you using? If you are using a primarily peat based potting mix, you are asking for rot trouble. Judging by your description, that the soil never looks dry, I would suspect you are growing in a peat moss based mix, and in that lies your problem, plus your lack of restraint when it comes to watering. I'm 2/3 set....well, sort of. I'm still working on the hand made item, but I found the cookbook yesterday. Like many of you, I had to get 2 of them, one for myself and one for my partner. I'm still puzzling over the local item. I've found a nice locally produce item, but I'm not sure about shipping it. I'm going to do some more research. I've thought of other things, but Texas is a big state, and I'm not sure if the other side of Texas counts as local. Unfortunately, where I live the primary locally produced products are McMansions. I know I can spend as much as I want, but I'm NOT spending THAT much! LOL. Besides, that would definately be hard to ship! Sally

"Getting a little off topic, but are all house sales by guardians subject to the control of a guardian judge? Or is this a unique situation because of the foreclosure?" Oh - actually, it's part of a Guardianship as set by our particular Judge. It is not related to foreclosure - but the Judge wanted to be quite involved in overseeing the sale. My attorney has insinuated she is unique in her involvement. The original "Order to List and Sale" would have allowed it to be (obviously) listed and sold within the constraints which was identified in the order (i.e. range of sale price). This particular Judge lined out the "and Sale" - thereby giving me authority to list the house, but not sell it. Now, a separate "Order to Sell" needs to be petitioned when a contract is received that meets the list price range. I'm so frustrated by this situation - the house is being sold ASAP due to dwindling funds of the Ward. And, to petition the court for approal to "list and sell" has cost about $1000. By the Judge excluding the "to sell" stipulation, it costs an additional $500 for the additional petition/order. How is this fair? I am trying very hard not to have significant distrust and aversion to attorneys - but between this and some unfair dealing with divorce proceedings (of another family member), I am gaining suspicion of our legal system. Oh - and I hope I wouldn't reap penalty from giving my card number to another employee --- especially it was suggested that I do that by HR for another's travel/lodging reservation! Ha. Thanks to everyone for the advice and kind thoughts. . .greatly appreciated!! I contacted my insurance adjuster on the original roof claim. While they are very interested in the outcome, they indicated that this is an issue between me and the roofing company. . .totally separate from the original claim on the roof. But they did give me some pointers on working through the situation. A water remediation company coming out tomorrow to do an assessment (based on the recommendation of my adjuster) so I think that will give me some idea of the full extent of the damage and where we need to go from there. I have taken lots of pictures and won't let anyone touch anything until I'm satisfied the damage has been fully documented. Dedtired, my attitude not really as good as it sounds. . .but as the expression goes. ."it is what it is" and nothing can change that. . .and I'm hoping that be being patient and somewhat understanding, they (roofing company) will be willing to do a little more than if I landed in the middle of them with combat boots. Thank you all again. . .I'll let you know how it all turns out!

Wow,you have some adorable stuff there,and it looks like you have mastered your embroidery machine.Which machine do you have??? I have the Viking Rose and i still havn't even come close to mastering it,and probably never will.

Grrrrrr...... I hate it when that happens.
I copied the file but it is still a PDF.
Basically what they did was cut the stocking pattern from a pair of jeans making sure the top of the stocking lined up with the top of the jeans......dunno if I am explaining this very well.

Lay the jeans out flat with the front facing you, lay your pattern with the top matching the top of the jeans & cut it out. When it is cut you will have the pocket, waistband & a beltloop on the front of the stocking. Cut the back of the stocking from the back of the jeans....again you will have the waistband, back pocket & a belt loop. What I liked is that the top is already finished!!!! Now sew them together RST "OR" for a cute look sew WST & fringe the edges!! Decorate or leave as is. Hope I haven't confused you to much!

Ohhhhh, I love your Maltese puppies!!!! We have two, and they are the love of our lives...named Fargo Blizzard and Phoebe Snow. Would have a houseful if we could. Looked at one at the pet store the other day...$1499.00. Sorry, I know this is "off topic" but I just couldn't resist commenting.

then click on "Recycle Denim Jeans" at the bottom of the projects column, then select Lesson #5: 'Tis the Season: Christmas Stockings from Jeans.

I was able to get into it that way.

Nope, it still wont let me see the pictures... So i emailed the 4-H people and she was kind enough to snail mail me the pattern.

WOW! even I wouldnt pay that much for a puppy.. I try to price them in the range to where if it was I buying one I could purchase it. It's only right, I dont like people who are money hungry!

As far as my machines....
I have a Ellageo and one other right under it that I use for small things.. I LOVE IT and would divorce the hubby before I let it go...hehe . My daughter (who's 13) has saved up all her baby sitting $ for the last year and bought her a used Ellageo, had to kick in a little but it was a good lesson to learn about saveing.
(Something about me not letting her play with mine so she would get her own...lol) and a Commercial Brother,one head, I just bought 2 more this last month so business better not slack off!!!!
and the other love of my life is a juki quilting machine, again would have to let the hubby go before i sold it! ...Woo-Hoo!!!!
