There are three separate items here. There is the sink itself, which can be free in some fabricators promos, or it can cost pwards of 1K if you want something unique and hand crafted. Then there is the stone slab material, and the fabrication of that material. Some fabricators will quote you separate prices on the stone and then the fabrication labor and some will only quote you a price of the fabricated stone with the labor accounted for in that price. Every fabrication place is different and charges differently, so you want to get a price for the overall job to be able to compare different fabricators equally. Don't get locked into the fact that you might be getting a "free" sink either. Free gets paid for somewhere. My stone fabricators will do an unpolished cutout free of charge. That allows you to use the topmount sink of your choice. If you want undermount, that's an additional $220 for them to polish the edge of the cutout and mount the sink of your choice and included up to 3 faucet holes. The sink (or faucet) itself is not sourced through them and you may choose any sink (or faucet) on the market that will fit your vanity base. The most common undermount sink that I sell is the Kohler Caxton as it is an inexpensive choice by a major manufacturer who is sure to still be around and making that sink if the customer ever has a problem down the road and needs warranty support.

Baquinn, I have a different Blanco sink, but it was large too. I have the equal double bowl undermount Performa (33 by 20 and 10 inches deep). Fortunately, my GC caught the specs and so we were able to ammend the plans prior to fabrication of the cabinet and counter. We did pull the sink base cabinet forward. Initially this was supposed to be a straight counter edge, but you can see the curve we put in to accommodate the sink. I am happy we did. I really like my big sinks. The larger sinks are another favorite thing about my renovation. I hand wash a lot of items, so this sink has made the job so much easier. On another note, everybody's renovations have their fair share of setbacks and frustrations. It's never smooth sailing. It's definitely a process and it will be complete one day and you will really enjoy it! If a large sink is a priority for you, don't settle on a smaller one just for time. There will be more than one hiccup and you want to have the kitchen you really want because you are the one who will be living with whatever decisions you come to. Hang in there!

The Kohler Karbon will be fine with your sink. I had 2 Karbons installed on my Stages 45, but the first one had a defect. While I waited for a replacement from Kohler, I used only one and it worked fine with my large sink. Spray reached the farthest corner. I hope you love the Karbon as much as I love mine!

Great comments - I'm now debating whether to install a garbage disposal or not. Thoughts on whether to have a garbage disposal at all??? Pros/Cons? Due to health reasons, I make all my meals from scratch (no processed/boxed foods, etc), & probably spend anywhere from 1-3 hours in the kitchen/day. Right now where I'm renting, I just prep on the kitchen counter throwing everything away in a small shopping bag that is on the counter, then I throw the whole bag (with garbage) into my garbage can.
