red lover, I bought the blancowave sink in the link for my pending remodel. Got a deal on ebay, so went ahead and bought it. After just looking at it lying there in the box for a few weeks whispering to me how much I would like to be using it, I finally caved and jerry-rigged an installation in the non-remodeled kitchen over the weekend. (It is an undermount sink, I have laminate counters, it is supposed to need a 42" sink base, I have 36 inches, the hole in the counter for the existing sink was totally the wrong size and shape, blah blah whatever. watch me make it work anyway). So far, I love it. The large side is big enough to hold my largest baking sheet, roasting pan, or largest skillet with handle; the small side is still big enough for a colander or stockpot. My Blanco Siligranit sink is 1/5 years old. I started noticing multiple chips (probably a dozen) in the sink about 6 months ago. We are very careful and don't drop anything in the sink ever. We never put knives in the sink. We lay our knives on the countertop until we are ready to wash them. I do NOT believe knives have caused the chips. The sink also discolored around the drain hole within a month of installation. I dry the sink frequently and find that to be a pain. I'm disappointed in this supposedly durable sink. My daughter has an off-brand, black granite sink she had installed about 2 years ago. She has no chips at all and no discoloration. I finally gave in and bought the Blanco metal grid which cost $100. A rip-off, but I'm hopeful it MAY prevent further chipping. I have no idea how the chips could have happened since only my husband and I live here and we are both extremely careful -- with a sink -- go figure!

I think you may have room for a narrow single-hole faucet (we're getting the Kohler Simplice, see link below, and using it without the escutcheon plate.) Having looked at the Simplice, I think you'd have enough room behind the sink for it, but if you're not sure you could either (1) have them bump out your sink base 2" or (2) get a faucet, wait until template day, and see whether it can be mounted behind, while knowing that you might have to settle for off-center placement. I have one Karbon and have no problem reaching all corners of the Stages. I mounted it 18" from the left and have the ledge on the right This works the best for me prepping on the right while others need to access on the left.
