$ 70 Blanco Performa Silgranit II 1.75 Free shipping
Comments (40)Well ladies, the too good to be true price really was too good to be true. My shipment arrived today. A flat package that weighed 2 lbs. Yeah, it's a Blanco stainless steel 2.0 sink grid. This grid wouldn't even fit the 1.75 sink I ordered. Anyway, I immediately called and, although they were very nice, the bottom line is they offered me the $460 something sink for about $350 claiming that was the wholesale, zero profit margin, price for them. I said no thank you. They are processing a full refund and told me I can keep the sink grid to not have to go to the hassle of returning it. The customer service rep tried to be helpful, and when I questioned why they wouldn't honor their price, she sent me over to a customer service manager. He was also very nice, but wouldn't sell me the sink for $70. I'm not too upset as the sink was for our basement remodel that we haven't even started yet. I jumped on the price because it was an amazing deal. My first purchase from Wayfair. Browsing through their website, I think their prices are more expensive than other places on the web, so I probably won't make any other purchases there. For all of you who ordered the sink, be prepared to call and get a refund, because you won't be getting a sink. And if by some chance someone DOES get a sink, please let us all know so we can get the same deal. Thanks MMM for telling us about it. No hard feelings there - I was happy to try for the deal!...See MoreInspecting my Blanco Silgranit Sink
Comments (17)Hello, As a representative from BLANCO, I would like to add some information as to the quality and production of our BLANCO SILGRANIT kitchen sinks that may help ease your mind. BLANCO is THE world leader in composite kitchen sink development in ALL areas of technical advancements, patent development, quality control, portfolio size, color offering, and true global production. Our products carry a lifetime warranty and are produced in BLANCOs own factories located in Germany and Canada. Our sinks go through extensive quality control checks throughout each stage in production. Specifically, I want you to know that each and every SILGRANIT sinks underside does have some roughness and texture which may be interpreted as cracks. This is a natural part of our patented formulation and production process. The texture you are seeing on the backside is a result of the curing process of the material after casting. It does not in any way deter from the strength of the product but rather allows for the perfect combination of interior surface hardness and overall strength by ensuring that the maximum amount of granite is at the useable surface. It is this process that makes our sinks the MOST durable and the MOST hygienic surface available on the market today. We pride ourselves on being a family company that focuses on quality, innovation, and customer service. We stand behind our products everyday with passion and pride to ensure you have a wonderful experience every time you use them. Please contact our customer care department at 800-451-5782 should you have any questions or concerns. Comments (14)Had 2 Silgranit BlancoDiamond Super Single sinks in two different kitchens. Did not baby them, and banged around my heavy LC pots while washing them. When I left each of those kitchens, the sinks looked the same as the day they were installed. Both were the Anthracite color which shows nothing. The most easy-care sinks I have ever experienced. I did not use a sink grid - I am not a sink-grid type, but many people like the grids. I have heard on this forum that the Silgranit sinks can get damaged during shipping or sometimes when the counter installer takes them for templating. I did not have that experience for either kitchen. You should buy from a reputable seller which will ship well-packed. I bought from quality bath dot com. In any case, once installed, the sinks are very tough. The corner drain on the BlancoDiamond is great....See MoreCalling all Blanco Silgranit owners-Can you answer 5 questions for me?
Comments (33)I had a white Silgranit sink in my last house, we moved out three months ago. Installed it in 2007. First one cracked upon installation. Second one cracked upon installation. Plumbing supply had someone from Silgrant contact us, he determined my builder was NOT at fault. Finally the third sink tolerated installation. After 14 years we ended up with three small chips at the drain. I have no idea when they happened. Sink was a bear to clean, stained easily. Ultimately we ended up using Soft Scrub with Bleach, which they do NOT recommend, but it was the only thing that worked. (It did not appear to damage the sink in any way, and we used it for at least ten years.) At the time it was one of the biggest sinks available, which is why I got it, and I always did love all that space! But that was the only thing good about it. I would never recommend one, and will certainly never get one again. Nicole...See MoreKatherine Wong
