Good question Pam. I've always just used a tissue (not one with lotion in it though!!). I don't know if that's good or bad. My CMC leaves tissues (like regular Kleenex or Scotties - the most basic ones) on the tables for us to use so I've always assumed that meant tissue was ok.

I'm very curious what everyone else thinks!

Tissues are what I use. Also when a page is finished and has it's protector on, I go over that with a tissue or soft dish towel. This makes sure everything is down securely.

I use cloth diapers. I have a stack left over from baby days. They are very soft and easy to wash.

Tissues for me, but I do like the diaper idea.

I use a square of clean felt. It was given to me at a workshop several years ago, but I still use it to clean every page before I put on the page protector.

I like the diaper idea. And the square of felt just gave me an idea - how about one of those little cloths that come with really good glasses or cameras (for the lenses)? I'll bet those would work great! Hmmm. I'll have to look around to see if we have any, since my dh and I both wear glasses. :)

I don't know if you are used to wear gloves when cropping or working on your pages. Personally I use white cotton gloves, the same used by photo professional, and it avoids to let too many finger prints on your pictures. In case of need, I use tissues too, to clean them!

Great ideas! Wish I'd saved those baby diapers! The cloths for eyeglasses or cameras would be good I have some of those. The white gloves sound great except I can't work with gloves on, I feel like I have 20 fingers. LOL

I use old t-shirts that I cut up for rags. They are soft and you don't tend to get the lint. I too like using cloth diapers for things, but I don't have any of those around the house any more! Sherry

I use T-shirts. I would like to sound as sophisticated as the rest of you and say I use a piece of an old one, but to tell the truth, I use the tail of the one I am wearing while I crop. Ha!

We're not all sophistocated!! LOL I also have used my tee shirt tail or sweatshirt sleeve! After all don't we all have special clothes for gardening, washing the car and scrapbooking :)

I worked for a photo developing lab in Michigan years ago and we used a soft cloth and alcohol. Just make sure it isn't a copy of a photo.

Carla, I must confess, I too use the bottom of the t-shirt I have on at the time if a picture needs to be desmudged! I do have a basket of t-shirts cut up for rags, but don't want to stop what I am doing am to go and get one when needed! LOL. Sherry
