My son is getting married May 20 and I'm in full wedding/bridal shower mode here. I just completed an elegant white damask chair cover with a full tulle bow for her to sit on and open shower gifts.

I've been toying with the idea of making slipcovers for my living room couches but doubt I'll get to it before the wedding.

I'm so inspired by the beautiful spring fabrics that are out now.

Oh, I do love the new spring fabrics, so pretty, I'm working on a patchwork sweatshirt,that will become a jacket and trying to print fabrics on computer with that bubble jet stuff, works wonderful, but last week was a bust for me, didn't do a thing but look through my stash,

tote bags that have so many uses , next gonna try making some bingo bags, also doing scrubs for my daughter who is a nurse , and some summer tops

Just finished Easter dresses & well into prom dresses & incentive items to be used in Vacation Bible School in June. Got a few boring things on the work list too....major alterations to suits & sportcoats for a co-worker of a niece.

I keep putting ME on the work list & I find seasons change & I have not scratched me off for the projects listed!!

I just bought a new serger(well, newer). My goal: I have to make as much as I can for my 18 yo son to take to college in the fall. he'll be going from this not too cold place to a very cold, snow for 6 months, place. This means long underwear, sweatshirts, jammies, hats, gloves, etc. And his graduation quilt - a snuggly jean and flannel fleece filled raggy quilt. I guess I'll be searching for the fleece clearance racks, too!

Busy fingers - lovely! I'm in awe of jeni4025 - all those things for your son. Wow! I hope he appreciates it.

Rene - that's so nice you remembered my coat! Yes, I did finish it, took about 6 weeks in total, I posted at the time, but since it was at the end of my previous thread I guess it got lost in the shuffle.

Anyway I've been wearing it and I've just taken a couple of pics, so have a look in the Gallery!

I am getting ready to make my granddaughter's First Communion dress, will start cutting tonight. Hope all goes well. I made a test dress a few weeks ago and the fit is pretty good. Other than than am making a scrap quilt which I will put away until the dress and veil are done.

I'm gonna make new crib bumper pads for the new ggb.I can make them a whole lot cheaper than my gd can buy them for,and get exactly what she wants.She really liked that one winnie the pooh quilt i made,so i'm gonna buy more of that fabric for the bumpers.

my grand-daughter's senior prom dress (and it has been quite an experience just getting the lining cut out) Pattern was missing pieces - pattern was discontinued - etc.

im currently making a ring pillow for my friends wedding in may, shes picked weird colours though baby blue and champagne,not sure how it will turn out though,ive pinched an idea from the teddy bear factory and im putting inside with the stuffing two red hearts with their names on,

I am working on baby things, my favorite things to make. I have anew 3 week old gd. She has a 2 1/2 yr old sister so I sew a lot of childrens clothes, do a lot of appliqueing of blue jeans and overalls. Just love them. Right now I am making a sundress for the older one, pink and green. jsut love to sew and wish I had more time for it.

Just finished a boucle jacket (in Gallery) in seafoam green, beige, taupe and white. Made matching seafoam slacks for me. Also a red quilted bag (in Gallery). Made a pair of black pique capris, which, dumb me, were a disaster, but I'll wear them anyway. Fabric had small pink flamingos and palm trees embroidered on it. Every other bird was upside down, so my brain told me that the palm trees were that way too. Well, guess what? They weren't, and I didn't notice until half done! The palm trees on the back of the capris are upside down, the palm trees on the front are right side up! But anyone getting that close to my behind deserves what they see! I'll wear them anyway...just casual clothes. I guess everyone has a disaster now and then, no matter how many years sewing.

I just finished up 2 First communion dresses, with the veils too. Right now I am working on a few simple dresses for my oldest grand-niece (one of the FC dress wearers. She asked me to make her a dress that she can wear more then the one day. I am using up some fabric I have had for a while, just waiting to be inspired for her. The fun thing is that I actually will be able to be there to see both girls wearing their dresses. My grand-niece is in South Dakota, a LONG ways from Pennsylvania. So I had thought I would have to be satisfied with just seeing photos. I do have plans for some clothes for myself. Nothing special, just some shirts and pants for the office. But they have been put on the back burner, until I finish up the munchkin sewing. I have to admit I enjoy sewing for children so much more then for myself. SO many cute patterns and the like to choose from. :)
