Michael's won't put their ad in my zip code. Granted I am about 10 miles from their store - BUT if I'm willing to drive why aren't they willing to see that I get an ad. I have gone to the store and explained that I don't get the ad but all they say is "too bad, we can't give you one".

Also - was shopping there for a pair of locking tweezers. They didn't have any. Ended up finding a 2 pairs on eBay and they are coming from England - $5.00 total (including s&h). Guess I should be glad Michael's didn't have any - surely would have cost me more.

Can you tell, I DON'T like Michael's.

I asked about getting an ad mailed to me, and was told that I just have to buy the paper. Fortunately, I get a nice check out lady who scans a coupon she keeps at her register, so I get the 40% off.
I agree that it's sometime better to get stuff off ebay, but then again sometimes people go bid happy and bid way too high for what the item is.

I live just a few miles from Michael's and have the same problem- They don't pay to have their ad put into my zip code. It is SO frustrating.

It isn't even the 40% off coupon- it's just the ergular sale stuff. Whenever I am near the store, I stop by, and IF paper happens to be one sale, I stock up... but they lose a LOT of my business because I never know what's on sale!

Luckily we have an AC Moore nearby also.. and they are MUCH cheaper, although they don't have as good a selection of papers.

Thank you both for your posts, that will give me a better idea to care for this plant. Now what is lowest/hight temperture that this plant can take? I'm in Tampa, Florida so in summer it will be very dry and the temp can be up to 90 deg or more, winter can go down to low 30 deg some time, I want to leave the plant out side but I am not sure. One more question, right now the plant has 10" leaf span, how long does it take to get to BS plant? Thank you very much for your help.

Did you make your choice yet? Used Swimex pools do become available from time to time and would be within your budget if you waited long enough. As you know, the Swimex paddlewheel current is considered the most superior of any on the market right now. It almost sounds like with your landscaping that a Containur Pool made of a repurposed shipping container and fiberglass with fitting for an Endless Pool swim current would be ideal since you could set it without any retaining wall, just piers on your slope. Those are also within your budget. The Michael Phelps swim spas are excellent, and I'm sure you would enjoy one if you went that direction. However, buying a used one and expecting another 15 years out of it is risky. Those shells are acrylic and not as durable as fiberglass, especially if this will be outdoors. The parent company, Masterspas, has also been known to deal with some quality failures on occasion, though no more it would seem than most other spa companies. Those stand-alone spas do tend to start having problems that require repair starting around the 5-year mark and beyond. A gunite pool can last a lifetime and is often competitively priced against a swim spa, but your landscape would add a lot of cost since you have that slope. I am interested to hear what you decided.

We supported our local frame shop plenty. Not because I was trying to support them per se (this is capitalism here, yes?) but because I eschewed Michael's and they would not have had what I wanted anyway (curved, burled wood). That shop went out of business. Then I used another local frame shop. They went out of business, too. Not sure where'd I'd go for something very special, but for a placemat, I had no qualms.

Great thanks for that and very quick reply :), was many whites for Metropolitan and was not sure. this is great , a second close option is --BM: Thunder (flat) on walls Trim and ceiling (unknown yet) would semi gloss B.M Oxford white for Trim and Oxford white flat for ceiling work? If ithese colors work, would it be possible use a different color on the coving/cornice ? So leave flat oxford white on ceiling , flat Thunder on walls and have cornice/coving between wall and ceiling a different colour to wall and ceiling if so any suggestions? Or would it look better have the ceiling and the trim and cornice/coving the same color? Thanks again.

I never get anything in the mail from Michael's I buy the Dallas Sunday paper and sometimes there is an ad in there I also buy our local Sunday paper and there is usually a flyer in there. We get a free newspaper thrown on the lawn on Wednesdays with some local ads in it and there is usually a flyer from Michaels in it too. Some times I get 3 coupons a week tht way.

Someone on another board posted this link to an online Michael's coupon. Other posters there say they used the coupon. It's worth a try!

The Michael's near us has started accepting the fifty percent off coupons from Joann's!!

gosh i cant believe that im only about 3 miles from my neartest micheals and i get the coupons almost every sunday in our paper. I love Micheals but only because we dont have hobby lobby which is way better. I have 7 scrapping stores within 30 miles of me but now that Micheals sell Jolee boutique stickers i can get em there for 40%off and that is alot better than the lss.
