You vote: Mirrors in front of large picture window or to the side
Comments (9)oooooo! First, I have to confess, I have view-envy! I can understand your reluctance to cover it up. I too can see the pros and cons of either way but here are my main thoughts... #1 Although some of the view is missing, there still appears to be a pretty large area in the center. I think that the view would make an amazing "frame" around your mirrors. I'm also really into symmetry and balance so that appeals to me on this option. #2 Obviously, you'd enjoy even more of the beautiful view and it doesn't trouble me to have window directly above the sinks instead of a mirror. A pivoting mirror is interesting and if it were large enough and stable enough, it would seem fine to me. What might be an issue, in my opinion, is the single light on one side of the mirror. I think that would either not be enough light or at least would cause some unwanted shadows. I can't tell exactly where the light would hang in relation to the mirror when it is pivoted out into a usable position. Overall, I'd probably lean toward #1. I think you'll see much of the view and your mind will sort of "fill in the blanks" of what you don't see. What a lovely dilemma to have! Either way, it will be gorgeous and I hope you will continue to post pictures for the rest of us to enjoy. I'm currently searching for pendant lights for our guest bath reno so if you'd care to share what you've chosen, I'd love to see them. Good luck!...See MoreA bit torn over this large mirror purchase.
Comments (8)Is there a place for your mirror up the stairs, near the landing? If you don't want to look at the windows, how about putting very bold upholstery on the chairs? And then get a very large square of wood that matches the floor and "flost" it on the wall behind the table and chairs...See MoreWould two 24.25x36” oval mirrors be too large for a 54” double vanity?
Comments (1)Typically the mirror would be no wider than the sink unit they are placed above. Assuming your center drawer unit is 12" that leaves 21" of sink base and the mirror is 24", and may look too wide for the space if it has to go past the vanity on each end. If the vanity will be on an open wall area, you can decide if looks too much or not. See if you can find something 18" wide to see the difference....See Morehow to pick flooring for large open floor plan 1st floor
Comments (7)While your thread may be a year old, the importance of choosing the right flooring for your large open floor plan remains timeless. I understand your concern about wood flooring, but considering its timeless appeal and durability, it can still be a viable option. Another consideration could be vinyl flooring singapore, which offers various designs and is known for its versatility and low maintenance. Even though the thread is a year old, it's never too late to gather ideas and make informed decisions for your remodeling project. Wishing you all the best in creating a beautiful and functional space that suits your modern style home!...See Moregraywings123
