Google Chrome is a bit different, but I just dug around on there to find the method. Way up in the top right hand corner are 3 black bars. Mouse over to see 'customize & control'. Click it. Mouse over "BOOKMARKS" , and click on "Bookmark Manager", which will open in a new tab. Click on "Organize" for a drop down list. At the bottom, click on "Export". Create a folder in My Documents to put your list (Favorites Backup, etc.). You have now saved a copy of your bookmarks, as a clickable list, in My Documents. Remember, for safety, you may want to put this folder on a flash drive, OFF your computer. The Bookmark list keeps growing, so back it up every few months. This easy stuff is nice.

I've also had very good luck with Sears. Probably it depends a bit on your local store's manager, volume of the store, etc. I was thinking today of taking a picture of the very slight dark circular line around the handle of my DW that caused it to come to me at, dunno, something like 75% off its retail. My local Sears is so small and so happening (while somehow managing to be the sleepiest store you've ever set foot into. It's just when they are selling it's something else again) that when they decide something has to move I swear you could get them to pay you to remove it. They are big enough to seemingly not even care about whether and how much money they happen to take off you personally. It's really a bit weird in some sense. I'm not complaining, mind you. My point is mostly: YMMV.

Personally, after setting some aside for fresh use, I dehydrate the majority of my garlic. To do so, I slice large cloves into 3-4 pieces, and cut smaller cloves in half lengthwise. For hard neck garlics, I peel after cutting off the root & halving; the skins virtually fall off at that point. For smaller cloves (such as most of the soft neck varieties), I de-root & halve the cloves, and dehydrate with the skin on. After drying, vigorous shaking in a container will release the skins, and they can be winnowed away. You can process a large amount of garlic this way in a fairly short time. And to think, I used to spend hours peeling those cloves before drying! :-0 You could probably use the same skin-on drying method to process large quantities of hard neck garlic... I may try that this year, since the crop promises to be large. The garlic "chips" store for a year or more in a sealed container (I use freezer bags), even at room temperature. We grind them as needed for fresh garlic powder, and use them whole for cooking. There seems to be less loss of flavor over time than I observed when I tried freezing cloves. Interestingly, the chips retain their shape in cooked dishes, and after absorbing flavors from the other ingredients, become quite delicious.

we quit buying Christmas presents at least 10 years ago. I just said enough is enough. We never knew what to buy and all we were getting was things we didn't need or want. Examples like hot chocolate and candy, blankets and throws. I was tired of making the retailers richer and me poorer. Bah Humbug! I don't care if people call me a scrooge or not. We travel 3 hours and we came home with a bunch of stuff to carry in the house that we didn't need or want, and didn't know where to store it. DHB is asking what we need and we told him nothing. We can't think of a thing we need. We help our children out throughout the whole year when they need it. That is the way I save money. I had to make and bake some things for a craft fair and church bazaar tonight. I went to thrift stores and bought containers, bows, plates, ribbons and other things I needed. One of the stores even had 1/2 off between 2 and 4 every afternoon on everything. I bought things for 12 cents. I also bought some things at Dollar Tree where everything is a dollar. That way we can sell the things for less too.
