We used BM mascarpone throughput our townhouse. It's a warm but not "creamy" white and goes well with every color I compared it against, I think it would be an excellent neutral to reflect and complement your surroundings. Use google images to take a look!

I have the same situation in my home and have been looking at Mascarpone. Tinan, what did you put on your ceilings?

We repainted our home4 years ago and I have the same situation with east facing windows looking out onto forest. Our designer also took into consideration our natural light which, as we are on the CDN west coast with PNW weather, is grey much of the year. She chose BM Florentine Plaster. It looks grey on the monitor but in real life it isn't. It's pouring rain right now and really seems to come to life and when it's sunny it seems to reflect the green of the outside..

We used a color similar to BM's Abingdon Putty in an east-facing room with lots of green outdoors. It's a soft neutral that, in our house, appears to have subtle green and gold tones. It never looks dreary.

Our was actually a color match to another line's long-discontinued color, but at the moment I can't recall the name of that product. Abingdon Putty is the closest color in BM's line. Like the photo, our rooms also have white trim.

I've worn my eyes out looking at 'cream' tones and I think I may go back to this color I used over 20 years ago. My house faces east, too, with a large window on the north wall. This paint was marvelous! It changed with the light and made everyone and the furniture look pretty. To be sure I still like it as much, I think I'll ask for a sample.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions! I can't wait to try them. I know I've become too obsessed with this. Had a painter here the other day for some other rooms and as I was considering various options. He said "they're all the same color - white" GASP!

Appreciate the help from those who "understand!!"

I just painted our bedroom SW Antique White and really like it. We have midtone oak floors, white trim and a lot of windows. We have a heavily treed lot and the creamy off white looks beautiful with the green of the trees.

Don't have a room picture available right now, but I was amazed how BM Straw highlighted the colors of the trees and lake out the windows in my last home with Brazilian cherry floors. The color chip does not look like the finished product, which is pale yellow. I knew I wanted the color of candlelight with the red in the floor. Being the freak that I am :) , I sat and studied a lit candle. Candlelight is yellow with the addition of red. The green leaves and blue lake were beautiful with this color. I also used BM Filtered sunlight upstairs which is on the same strip.

For our east facing room with big windows and lots of trees we used BM Celery Salt. It's the palest of greens but actually in BM's off-white collection. People always comment on how the color "brings the outside in."

We also have Straw and Filtered Sunlight in our house as mentioned by voila. I like the Straw, but in our east facing dining room it is definitely not a pale yellow. It's a very saturated color that I would not classify as a neutral.

Maybe what you want is something with a brown undertone? Someone suggested SW Antique White.

I did try SW Antique White and loved it in some parts of the room but in other parts it looked really, really yellow.

I think the trees are fighting with my orangey floors...

Thank you decordummy and lesmobo. The B. cherry floors were not this bright, but the chair looks pretty true, with rust soft green, pale blue and deep aqua. Made by Woodmark and designed by Mary Webb Wood. I believe her husband was the Wood of Woodmark. You can see her initials in the crewel embroidery on the bottom back of chair in the first photo. I bought it in an antique store and paid too much, shhh-don't tell my DH. He couldn't believe I was buying used upholstered furniture, but I fell in love. Guess when it was manufactured? Rust and teals? 1970's!! I still adore it, with it's brown velvet back. Trying to show the wall color bringing out the chair colors with reddish floors.

Wow. That chair is stunning. I'm going to try to remember that when I get my grandfather's chair re-upholstered. LOVE the contrasting fabrics!

Woodmark chairs are great. I got 3 in 1978 and all are comfy and rock solid construcion. Wish they still made them. Each one cost 2 weeks of a nurses salary back then. Everyone though I was nuts. Best home purchases I ever made. My children will fight over them when I'm gone.

As for paint I am very pleased with our SW Navajo white. We practically live in a tree house. I also love the BM straw. I've had that in 3 homes and never got tired of it.

Voila, I LOVE that chair! It just goes to show that a beautiful classic never goes out of style. I would love to use a similar fabric when I recover or replace my BY arm chairs.
