A forum I visit for cross stitch a lot of people host their stuff for sale on PB and most every one is always complaining of it when trying to view sale albums, half the time it's so slow wonder why that is? Most of us have switched to webshots because of it. I know I had a lot of trouble uploading and deleting stuff as did others. I know it's not our computer as webshots runs fast and no trouble uploading or no troubles any where else like image shack either just with PB. Mary

I have to put an addendum here.....for those who use PBase and want to make clickable thumbs as described above. The reason why I had a problem with thumbnails in my other post "Window Shopping" here in the gallery.....after I so carefully explained how to make clickable thumbnails only to find they didn't work for my PBase links LOL....I consulted with PBase to learn that their location of the URL for the thumbs..... as I described above ....is not reliable as the thumbs could be moved to another server....which is what happened to mine and why they didn't show up properly. They have another system for making a thumb URL, using direct linking to the original photo but with "/small" before the dot jpg. In other words, the second half of the code string is the same as the first only with the addition of a slash and the word "small", here shown in red: I hope that helps make it easier and sorry if anyone using PBase tried to use the above and found it didn't work. PhotoBucket...probably 'cause I'm used to it, but I find it easy to view, upload, copy codes, and post pictures using it. Of all those I've seen, the one I like the least is the one that has a column of thumbnails on the left side that you have to click to see a pic...I haven't found a way to see them all at once one page (or at least more than the few that show up in that column!) With PhotoBucket I can view pictures all on one page (View All), in pages (and I can control how many are on a page), or individually.

They changed their policies two years ago in June, 2017. nicole, that's what I did to get my photos back. It was time consuming but it worked. Photobucket really did not handle that change well. They gave their customers very short notice, held their photos hostage and initially were going to charge $60 - $400 per year (depending on how much space each user was using). In response to the uproar...*ahem*, I mean, all of the negative feedback from their customers, a year ago they reduced their pricing to $53.90 to $129 per year depending on the size of account one wants. They also offer a free account with a storage limit of 250 photos/2.5GB I get that they are a business and they want to make money, but that was not the way to spring it on people. I no longer trust other hosting sites not to turn around and do the same thing, so I just keep my photos on a flash drive which has been backed up as well. If I want to share with family/friends I post to Instagram.
