I prefer Flickr. It's really just a matter of opinion. I use Dave's Garden more and more lately because you can upload your photos directly to them.

I prefer Flickr too. Very easy way to organize your photos.

Yes, it's very easy to get the html code (via the "Share" link, I believe) for any of your pics on Flickr, copy it and paste it into a message here.

I use Picture Trails. I think it's free for a certain number of photos and after that it goes up. Not expensive though. For me about $20.00 a year. And if it wasn't easy I couldn't use it. I'm computer inept.

I own and have installed quite a few photo editing programs but I prefer to use Picasa 3 (which, btw, is free) because it is so simple to use to upload to online albums (and their storage site with album(s) is also free up to 1 gig of media).

They also provide the code to use to easily insert photos.

If you haven't yet committed to a program to use for embedding garden photos, you might wish to consider Picasa 3.

Mary, Thanks for the info about Picasa. It's funny I just downloaded the software for it yesterday although I didn't know for sure you could embed photos from it. I liked some of the other features about it though, particularly the camera interface and organizing the photos on your computer, so I thought I would give it a try.

I did set up a Flickr account but I am not going to continue it because I like to take high res photos and after I uploaded 1 batch of photos, I am already over the monthly allowment.

So hopefully I will get things organized soon with Picasa and be uploading photos here in no time.

I also use Picasa, but I also use Blogspot for my blog and Google automatically creates photo albums from what I post on my blog. From iPhoto on my MacBook, I can easily upload photos straight to Picasa, too.

Another Picasa user here. I just ran out free of storage space but for $20 per year I think I'll have enough to last a lifetime!

I use 'webshots', it is free. I can download 8500 photos and 850 video's. Which I am no where near that. You can post in 5 different size's. Very easy copy and paste.

Stephanie, I thought I was the only person left in the world who uses Webshots, lol. It was just one of the first ones I ever heard of, and since it's so easy (and free) I never saw a reason to change.

I do wish, though, that we could upload pictures directly, instead of going through a hosting site. Not that the using the hosting site is difficult, but it would just be one less step to go through. Actually, the only reason I even use Webshots is specifically to post here, and no other reason.

I use Webshots and Flickr to link to an album of photos - and will probably try others too. I like both, but cannot figure out the "Photostream" in Flickr. What is the purpose of a random stream of photos? I like to organize photos into orderly albums.

However, most of the photos I post to GW are uploaded to a folder on a friend's web server, and I manually insert the code for displaying the photo.

I also use Photobucket. Yes they give you the HTML code that you can cut and paste here. There is a simple image editor too, but I don't use it that much. I use Corel Paint for image editing.

That is basically why I have webshots too and the other reason is to share photos with my sister who has dial up still. It makes it easier on her to view more then one photo at a time.
I like imageevent.com better but got tired of paying 25.00 every year, for what little I use it.
