Do you have any pics of them? I can't recall if they have seat cushions on them or are the old 50's retro look. My parents had some aluminum chairs at our summer house when I was a kid. I loved the way they looked but still remember how hot they got when sitting in the sun.

We bought 2 chairs from them at the end of the year sale last year. They spend most of their short life under a covered deck and saw very little use. The cushions are faded and the chairs are very wobbly. They were dirt cheap, but worth even less.

Lynn, it's either this one or very like. Kind of similar to cast-iron, but much lighter. The label didn't say anything about powdercoating, but the website says it's powdercoated, so that makes me worry less.

Angc, I feel your pain. We bought a Target Mission-style dresser last year, and it fell apart within a year. Only $275, cheap as dressers go, but for me it was an expensive learning experience, and a mistake I don't want to make again! Were your chairs folding chairs or extruded aluminum like this loveseat? We'd have the loveseat under a patio, like your chairs, but yours is the outcome I'm hoping to avoid. Hence this post.... would love to hear about other Target patio furniture experiences if anyone else is reading!

I have a set of heavy plastic folding chairs from Target that APPEAR to be of good quality and look good around the table. They have a very low weight tolerance and collapse if someone over 150 lbs sits in them or anyone sits on them in the sun. We keep them around the spare patio table and I steer adults toward the metal set when we have guests.

I have a white powdered aluminum garden bench from Lowe's that will most likely survive the Apocolypse. It's sat outdoors through blistering summer heat and frigid New York winters for over 5 years and looks brand new.

When it's time to replace my getting-wobbly wicker porch furniture, I'm looking into powdered aluminum.

They are the extruded aluminum, but not the same line. I think we paid under $50 for both during the 75% off sale.
