Colette...The freeway plant
Comments (26)I started this thread. by freeway plant, I guess I mean tough and carefree, but also, something we don't appreciate & that we take for granted because it is so easy. (Familiarity breeds contempt) I realize that my problem with it, is that it is just too big for my front yard. It completely covers my white picket fence. Now, I have to do raised beds, due to soggy Winter conditions, so Colette will be much too big to keep there. I may relocate her to a place where she can shine as a big rose instead of wear out her welcome in a place that's too small for her....See MoreAnyone have Pottery Barn Stratton bed with baskets?
Comments (47)UPDATE: I did order the bed. It's a beautiful bed. Very solid and well made. We put a 10,5 inch mattress on top of it and it sits up very high. A rug pad keeps it from sliding. Yes, it is very heavy and you cannot easily move it to get to the baskets against the wall. I guess Christmas items will go there. It would even make a nice place to hide things as well. I would say that is the biggest drawback to the bad, we love it otherwise. I wondered if I could get the hinges that attaches the three sections together if one should break. Not good that PB doesn't supply parts....See MoreNew small bed
Comments (15)Love_the_yard...I questioned whether I should even answer...mainly because I'm not sure if I'm correctly interpreting, what I find to be, a pretty hilarious joke. Considering the timeliness of the USPS I can only assume you're talking about the wandering Jew and it could be doing better given the ample shade they are getting. I think Moses did it better. Thanks for the good laugh, and if that's not what you meant...it still made me laugh! No ill will intended, of course!...See MoreColette Climber in pots (for now)?
Comments (4)If they face competition from other plants in the site you have planned for them, your idea of potting them up now and planting them when the weather cools off a bit sounds good. Be aware that containers dry out really fast in the summer, so you'll need to water them often -- especially if they are terra cotta....See Morejustgotabme
