Well the kind of "trouble" I was referring to is fabric shopping! I was on a "program" of buying only what I needed for a specified project, not just because it was on sale or because "it is the most beautiful piece of fabric I have ever seen and I absolutely must have it" or because it called to me across the crowded shop. I KNOW you ALL l know what I mean! However, when you go to a quilt shop with a group of friends some of whom shop like they are using someone elses' money, you just get kinda caught up in the frenzy...that is the enabling I was speaking of. All in fun though....AND I now have a beautiful piece of chocolate brown to make a fall handbag out of. My grandaughter is gonna get a new flannel Christmas sheet, and I just know I will find a use/project for those 4 bags of Moda Scraps, fat quarters, and charm squares I simply could not pass up. LOL Now you know the kind of trouble I was referring too. Sorry to disappoint you....the other kinds of "trouble", I try to keep to myself. HAHAHA!!!! Beeohio, that is exactly the pattern I am using. I did not know about the Fons & Porter one though. Will have to look it up. Fran, the meals were included so we didn't have to do anything but walk down the hall to the dining room. Interrupted quilting only for however long it took you to eat!! And the meals were very good. Of course anything I don't have to cook is generally good! Patsy, the wire shelves are something I am going to see if I can put them on my "storage" table to add a little vertical storage to that area. I think I have a couple of those shelves...I use them in my closet and in my kitchen cabinets. Thanks to all who responded to my post. Maybe I will be able to attend the next retreat planned for the forum. Murphy

Oh my word those are awesome! Blue and green is my absolute favorite color combo and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE that top!!!!!!!!! You say it has flaws but I sure dont'e see them. Well done, bravo! Love the paws too -- I was going to say exactly what annie said -- just get a black fabric pen and color over them. (I think the archival quality has something to do w/ the ph balance not being acidic so it won't deterioriate the fabric over time, something like that. But any hobby store should carry them.) That's a lot of work on those cute paws -- don't let kitty claw it up! LOL!!! Very cute!

That is a gorgeous quilt! I rarely buy quilt raffle tickets because generally the quilts being raffled have colours that would not fit my colour scheme at all, and are LOTS of that colour so you couldn't even use them for a bit of colour contrast. I'd buy tickets for that quilt for sure because I think it would fit in just about anywhere. Hope you find lots of like-minded folks where you live.
