Double Entry Door Issues

I chose to go with double entry doors for easy of moving furniture. My builder steered me towards a place that recycles doors. I picked the glass insert and they made a pre-hung unpainted double metal door. It's been three years and the doors never did seal well. There is a small gap at the bottom that allows daylight to come through. I read that double doors are notorious for not sealing well. The other problem is the glass putty keeps oozing out from the glass inserts. This only happens on the outside. The doors get mainly morning sun. I keep removing it, went as far as caulking around them, but the putty continues to ooze out. The other problem is that I can't get paint to stick. I keep having to touch up chipped paint. I would love to replace the doors all together, but was surprised how costly that can be. Any suggestions? Thank you.
