'horse shampoo' and a dry iron

I just finished reading a book where there was antique needlework involved, and they used Orvus, a horse shampoo, to wash the needlework. I went on line to see if this was 'real', and found a good many sites where they recommended Orvus....one actually referred to it as the 'quilters soap'. I was wondering - has anyone used it?

I remembered a while ago, someone was looking for a 'dry' iron....that has none of the little steam holes in the sole plate....and, noticed one for sale in The Vermont Country

Store catalog...they have a great catalog, with the oddest things you ever saw, but also have an online site you could try, if interested. www.vermontcountrystore.com it's on page 26, #42277 and is $29.95
