I realized this might creat panic so a note to the group, please don't panic or feel behind that I am sending a Jan. block now. I wouldn't normally do this but with it going to Australia and the holidays coming up... and the fact that if it sits here I may not be able to find it in a few weeks all went into my decision to send now. I am thinking it will take at least 10 days to get there, so that means it will arrive about a month before her birthday. A month before is fine for the "early birds' but normally I like to send out in the birthday month. Sometimes you have to mail towards the end of the month before so you know it will get there for a birthday that is at the beginning of a month.
Anyway, Kirstene, if I am being too early, I do apologize. I can assure the group that it is unlikely any of my outher 2010 birthday blocks will get mailed this far ahead of time. I am not usually so efficient. LOL

Dear Jeanne and quilters in Carolina Lilies & Patchwork Pines,

No need to panic or worry about being early on time or late. I will accept my blocks whenever they arrive! Jeanne is right in saying that mail from US to Australia usually takes between 7-10 days to arrive here. So if you post by 5th January they should arrive in time for my birthday.

Sorry to be so slow with my response. I think the ideal way would be to have the name of the group and the month and then the first name or GardenWeb name of the quilter who is receiving the blocks (our birthday girl!), but any method is fine. The important thing is to let the quilter know her block is on the way and then to hear that it has been received... and then there are pictures for those of us what want to see everything! LOL
(Gotta love our names being so close to each other!)

Kristene, I finished your block yesterday but probably won't try to mail it until right after 12/25. I figure there's so much mail and so many packages in the system right now that it will actually get to you quicker if I wait until after Christmas!

It was a fun block to make and I loved being able to use pretty, bright colors.

I just wanted to let you know that I sent your block...I'm so so so sorry for the huge delay but the start of this year has been awful for us in a lot of ways. Getting back on track now, and I'm finally having some time for hobbies again. I'm so sorry, again, but it is on it's way now!
