In need of special thoughts, please

This is our week for surgeries....My DH is having a MOHs cancer treatment today. He's been battling skin cancer for 30 years and these surgeries are becoming more frequent...

Tomorrow, my 2nd son is having open heart surgery...When he was 17 he was diagnosed with Hodgkins and had to have 127 radiation treatments. Having that many treatments, damaged the heart and now he has to have a valve and artery replaced...

And on Friday, my oldest son is having a very bad hernia repaired...

Like I said, this is our week...

glenda, when that happen i just said ok, i'm not waititng and shaved the rest off...it was scarey and sure made my heart sad, but i felt i was taking charge... head over to wal mart..in the same section as purses, ect, they have a selection of bandanas...i had one for summer, and one for halloween..they were my "statement"....i was lucky as breast c drugs wern't as harsh as some? she's got to be reminded that she is still your friend, a mom, and everything she was before, aside from some very nasty cells that have invaded... and be as incouraging to the family as possible...they have to keep that positive outlook as well...prayers are continuing!

Glad everyone is ok. Tell your Dad to look for a piece of rope near the garage door opener, probably has a handle on it. Pull the rope and then the garage door can be opened manually. Linda

I am sending up healing prayers for your entire family. Having one serious procedure to contend with is hard, but yours, with 3, I just can't imagine. I also pray for you to have the strength to deal with all of it.

My goodness, that's a lot to absorb. Hope this week is over quickly for you and everyone is well soon. Special prayer for you. Hard to see the ones we love in the hospital.

I am sad that you have all of those serious issues to deal with just now ... and focussed all in one week.

I send many good thoughts and hopes, and prayers for good results, with enthusiasm.

Often we would like to take the place of a loved one in such circumstances, I think - especially a child, i.e. one of our offspring. Perhaps especially when they were children, for we sort of think that it's unfair to dump such a load on one not yet grown.

Perhaps less so once they're grown ... more or less along the line of, now that they're grown and mature, they can take their chances, as all adults must. Well, yes, but ... a son/daughter's always a daughter/son, and each has a special spot in our hearts, which makes it hard to see them suffer serious uncertainty, pain, etc.

((((((Husband ... Son No 1 ... Son No. 2 ... and Dorothy ... plus other family members also worrying)))))).

You know, I just left the Ashdown Roses website, where I was drawn to a beautiful fragrant, repeat blooming rambler called Super Dorothy. If there's a message in that, it's a reassuring one. Sending good wishes to you.
