You did a great job in your kitchen. The backsplash looks nice and I love the new green cabs.

When I looked at your first pic I thought of painting the walls green but when I saw the second one....not sure anymore. It's hard to tell from the pics exactly what color green your cabinets are. If you say the tile you picked for the backsplash didn't make the ash look pink, maybe you can pluck a tone from them.

You really don't need a bold color because you already have so many different elements, like the wood floors, two different colors on your cabs and the nice glass doors where you can showcase colorful things.

I would be happy to try and help but is it possible to get more pictures? These are pretty grainy and dark and I can hardly tell your cabinets are moss green (which look like they came out fabulous) I'm just afraid that any color photoshopped on these pics won't look very accurate next to your cabinets. A wider shot of the kitchen might be helpful too. Do you have a space with more wall showing?

Ahhh...yes, that's much better. Will you be keeping the curtains? And it looks like you have a tanish color on the trim to work with as well....will you keep it? I can change it around any way you'd like. If anyone has any ideas, please jump in.

Curtains could go or stay...I kind of like them but very open to suggestions! :) Window trim is painted, they do could do whatever. I am just struggling with giving the kitchen a little jumpstart - is border busy? Would it look better with no border and with a new color? Just can't have it pull out pink or peach with those cabinets...THANK YOU. I can't wait to see your suggestions! :)

I need to spend some more time on this and hoping I will be able to do it tomorrow but my thinking was to get the color of your moss cabinets and go 2 or even 3 shades lighter. I need to do the other side of your kitchen but here's a sneak peek. I would get rid of the border but keep your cute signs and country theme.

I'm sorry this took so long. The last week of school activities are getting to be more than I thought...whew!

Anyway, I tried tans and beiges first but they really looked washed out next to the lighter cabinets to me. No way on the yellows, it really didn't go well with the pickled cabinets at all. I really felt like you needed green to pull everything together. Choosing the right one is going to be tricky though. Did you paint the green cabinets yourself? Maybe use that same strip and go down 2 or 3 shades.

Anyway, I also think your curtains would be okay with this color but I tried a Roman Shade for you too so you can see how that might look.

WOW does that help! I have felt that green was the answer from the beginning but green seems so NOT me that I gravitated towards yellow, tan - all my safe colors! This has helped SO Much to see what it looks like with no border and GREEN! No I did not paint the cabinets. I ripped out a pantry and pickled cabinets and had this put in to add some contrast. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Seeing GREEN helped a bunch and your nixing the tans and yellows saved me a lot in those little sample pots! :) Thanks again.

FYI re photoshop - I've used it for my house to see what colors would work well. While the color looked good on the screen, it didn't when I saw the paint color chip. The color resolution on your monitor can be different from the actual paint color in the store.

khandi, yes I always warn people about the difference between photoshop and reality all the time. Really, the idea is just to narrow down which direction to go. The exact paint color can never be chosen online. You have to get sampleboards and paint them. View them at different times of the day and against different walls to see how they change. Picking paint isn't easy, that's for sure.
