Big Lots has an android 4.0 tablet on sale this week for $90. Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal?? Thanks!

Hey Kat! I'm surviving, we have a lot of illness and death in our family and it's getting me down again. Lost a sis in law a month ago from pneumonia. Totally healthy otherwise. Aunt died last night. Brother given 6 mos from bladder cancer. Another sis in law in stage 4 lung cancer, then my husband with liver cancer. Just trying to get by day by day. I just wish Iwouldn't be so down and could have given you a 'cheery' answer-lol. How are you????

I bought mine on Tuesday or Wednesday--I thought stores usually did markdowns at the same time? I was confused by their signage, though--this sale is a markdown of a markdown, which I didn't realize. I thought the seeds would be about $.35 per pack, then when I got to the register I found they were a lot cheaper and I went back for more.

Hi all.. I too bought several roses from Big lots.. Most with success of growning but similar to the problem i've had a few mislabel..2 comming from a totally different store and i wrote to that company they're going to send me replacements in the spring..but the big lots roses.. the Oklahoma is not a Oklahoma, and i have put a post in the help idenify..And also "Cyrsler imperial" is not comming up and the bud is looking white.. I feel your pain..Im also new to growing roses and just jumped right into it..But i'm having fun and learing a lot.. ive been taking a lot of pics and putting them on my face book page.. you need to get the getjar store it does have facebook and lots of the others that are on android market, this is also a safe market which is loaded on many of the android tablets just like slide me is. Making cheese, at least making hard cheese, is not easy. Previous threads here about making mozzarella, cottage cheese, paneer and other soft, non-aged cheeses said those were not difficult. I jumped right in over my head and tried making cheddar two or three times. It was not successful. I expect to try again. You need the book. The instructions you have are not enough. Unfortunately, even the book may fall short of giving enough detail. It's usual to keep cheese making cultures in the freezer. Feta is made from sheep's milk as well as goat's milk, but sheep's milk would be even harder to find and more expensive. Cost of milk is a factor in cheese making. Most of the feta I buy is domestically made from cow's milk and I think it's fine. For economic reasons, I don't plan to refine my taste. Already I can't enjoy any lesser blue cheeses than Maytag. The New England Cheese Making Supply Company has a good web site with lots of info and everything you would ever need for making cheese. They are a good company to do business with. Have fun! Jamie, it's good to hear from you, but I'm sorry to hear about all you and your family are facing.

As for the tablet, Raven or someone else might weigh in here, but meanwhile here are the reviews on Amazon.

What I can tell you about it is for the price it is ok, not great, it has a small fairly low end processor, and low end screen resolution. But for basic use and as an ereader it will fit the bill. Just don't expect greatness.
You can always return it.

Thank you all for the comforting remarks. I guess I had just been thru THE WORST when I lost my daughter. I'm just sooo tired of all the illness and death. My heart hurts! Again, I thank you all.

The price looks good. Have you ever looked at Craigslist for a used one, my sis in law bought an Ipad for little money and it's been a year so far of flawless performance.

Hi Jamie! my DH who is a former puter wiz (changed fields) got one this past weekend. he wants it for an ereader and internet thru wireless @ home & hotels. he hacked his and is happy w it for only $100. you will need to add an SD card. he is using it as his kindle since the one i bought him i took over LOL. he likes it, it is in no way a substitute for a laptop. we have a collection of those. it's ok for light browsing, magazine & newspaper reading etc...it was dh's way of heading me off from going down the iPad3 path LOL and trying to stear me to an ASUS or Acer tablets that are coming out soon... ~ liz
