Isn't it frustrating how they can change so much? Are you home all day? I settled on the color that I liked best at the times of day I was most likely to see it, which was morning & evening for me. I like it slighly less at mid-day, but I'm not often home to see it then.

Lighting is everything. Have you tried different varieties of CFLs? Some read warmer than others.

Any chance you could post pictures?

I don't have any pics handy, but I have Whole Wheat in my kitchen and family room (open floor plan) and Blonde in one of our bedrooms. All the rooms face west so I can get a good idea of the colors on different times of day.

Between WW and Blonde, I like Blonde better. WW definitely has a green hue, especially in the evening. Blonde does not seem to have any green in it. I would like to repaint the kitchen and family room Blonde.

We have Ivorie in the front hall (on the same color strip as Blonde) and I love that color. It's very light so if you're looking for something a tad darker, I don't think you can go wrong with Blonde.

Tried all the colors you mentioned for my 2 storey foyer and living room-WW does have a green undertone to it. Blonde-if you get a lot of sun, it turns apricoty yellow and at night with CFLs, it does have a green cast to it. Macadamia is the most neutral of the three, but its just ...well...blah on the walls. (haven't seen undertones with it). Got a pic for you to see all three with the Humble gold that's in your next room.

jessicaml, that's good advice about picking a color u like best at the time you'll see it most. i might hav to change these cfls and go warmer like u said.

mamiebella, that's so impressive that u have these colors. thank you so much for that picture!! i feel the same way about macadamia, it felt blah to me. ww looks a bit drab to me in the room. honestly, blonde makes me feel happy :) (maybe bc it takes me back to good memories in our townhouse!)
i don't actually have humble gold on the morning rm wall yet, but it's one of the colors we're pretty darn sure about (or else dh will be so mad at me, lol).
but now that i'm leaning toward blonde, i may have to change up our choice for the hallway/foyer color. it was believable buff, which was on the ww color strip, but now i may need to go w/ ivoire from the blonde color strip... what do u think?

Blonde was my initial choice too and i wanted to absolutely love it (since I've always loved it in different homes I've seen) After sampling in my home, it just isn't working in the large areas i want to paint. I'll still use it somewhere though. My advice to you is if you love blonde, change the CFLs. As for Ivoire vs BBuff, Ivoire is yummier! BBuff is more muted. Let's hope some color expert will pop by to talk about the flow of these colors. Did a lot of research on blonde, i wanted it so bad, but it just didn't work. thanks for the link to the blonde discussion. i know ppl mostly love it, but others don't have a great experience with it afterwards. a lot of the accessories i'm thinking of using in the fam rm are reds, so idk if blonde goes better w/ that or if ww does. macadamia is out of the running now, lol.

ivoire is definitely yummier as u said. but as the main color in the foyer, upstairs and downstairs hallways, i'm afraid it will be too creamy yellow. i like that, but im not sure dh will.

Most of my first floor is done in SW Blonde. Since I haven't used any green in accent, it doesn't read at all green. Love it in our home!

Lol! I'll be going with WW. However, inorder for it to work, i have to change the CFLs. So i'm waiting and now looking into different kinds of CFLs.
I thought about Ivoire being too much with the blonde and the possible humble gold, so may be BBuff could work better since it's more subtle.

I have Believable Buff and Camelback in my living areas, and these are the colors above and below WW. Camelback does have a slight greenish tone at certain times of the day but I really like both colors.

The foyer is BB and the dining area is Camelback.

In the bedroom that we have Blonde in, the comforter and accessories (flowers) are red and the two look great together. I had red accessories (throw pillows, tablecloth) for a while in the kitchen and family room that had Whole Wheat and while it looked good, I think the red/Blonde combo looked better.

Glad you got rid of the Macadamia. My sister in law has it in her family room, and while it's nice, it's just "eh".

I went w/ blonde in the family room and I love it :) but the blonde in the kitchen didn't look good w/ my cabinets and granite so I asked the painters to change it to the hall color, believable buff. Looks so much better this way! If we eventually paint the basement it will probably be ww.
